After the work… this.

PM IOP enjoying the backyard BBQ, games, a puppy making friends with everyone, and a pretty solid sunset.

Yes, we still did group. Yes, people are still doing the hard work.

But recovery also looks like learning how to hang out, laugh, and enjoy a night without substances.

Turns out you can have a good night without substances. Who knew.

People sometimes look at someone in recovery and think they make it look easy.

What often isn’t visible is the work behind it.

Recovery takes honesty, support, and a lot of showing up — especially on the days when it feels hardest.

A view from the Red Hill this last week.

It’s easy to forget how much is happening across this city at any given moment.

And right in the middle of it — people are showing up, doing the work, and changing their lives.

These were written by clients to our staff.

Kind words, encouragement, and reminders that the work our team does matters.

We’re really proud of the people who walk through our doors — and really grateful for the staff who show up for them every day.

Moments like this mean a lot.

Things starting to bloom, trees waking back up, a little more light in the day.

Recovery can feel like that too — slow at first, then all at once.

PHP in Cedar City last week.

Out in Kolob Canyon — getting out of the building, slowing things down, and making space to breathe for a minute.

Experiential work doesn’t always happen in a group room. Sometimes it looks like movement, fresh air, and learning how to be present without distractions.

Recovery isn’t just about stopping something.
It’s about building something different.

When’s the last time you slowed down like this?

Shoutout to Tia for putting this together 💗

Voting for Best of Southern Utah has officially wrapped up, and we just want to say thank you.

To everyone who took the time to vote, share, and support High Desert Counseling and Access Foundation — we truly appreciate it.

We’re grateful to be part of a community that believes recovery matters.

And of course, we’re grateful for team members (and dogs like Happy) who help make this place feel safe and welcoming every single day. 🤍

Some of the most important work in treatment happens quietly behind the scenes — thanks to this beauty.

Amanda wears a lot of hats around here. While she’s often the first person clients see when walking through our doors, she’s usually behind the scenes helping keep the entire operation moving.

A lot of the work she does happens quietly, but it makes a big difference for our team and the people we serve.

We’re really grateful for everything she does for High Desert. 🤍

It’s been a busy season around here, and she’s been a big part of helping us keep things moving forward.

Backyard edition.

Hot dogs on the grill.
Co****le in the sun.
Tarot on a blanket.

Structured treatment doesn’t always mean fluorescent lights and stiff chairs.

Sometimes it looks like fresh air, safe connection, and practicing how to be present without substances attached.

Recovery isn’t just about staying clean and sober.
It’s about building a life you actually want to show up for.

💜 Giving Tuesday is December 2nd! 💜

Giving Tuesday is a global day of generosity that happens each year after Thanksgiving. It’s a movement dedicated to inspiring people to support nonprofits, uplift their communities, and spread kindness during the holiday season.

This Giving Tuesday — and any day — you’re invited to support survivors by making a gift to Canyon Creek Services. Your donation helps provide safety, shelter, advocacy, and hope for individuals and families impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault.

You don’t have to wait until December 2nd — donations can be made anytime through the link in our bio. Every contribution makes a meaningful difference.

Thank you for helping create a safer, stronger community for survivors. 💜

It may look like prom night 🤭…
but our Cedar team was actually attending the Moonlit Canyon Masquerade Gala to support Canyon Creek Women’s Crisis Center.

A beautiful night for an even more meaningful cause — helping local women and children affected by domestic violence.

We’re grateful to stand with an organization that provides safety, resources, and hope for local women and children affected by domestic violence. Canyon Creek Services - CCS
