We had so much fun nerding out at Parker Seminars last weekend in Vegas! We got to try all of the latest and greatest bio-hacking devices and learn about tons of ground breaking research. It was so inspiring to see some of our favorite doctors and bio-hackers (like Andrew Huberman, Dr. Richard Harris, Ben Greenfield Fitness, and Thomas DeLauer). We got some cool new tools for our patients and will be offering some exciting new supplements and products at our office very soon!

HYPERBARIC TREATMENT CORRECTION

We love our community! Hyperbaric chambers are fantastic at treating our bodies in times that they need access to more oxygen. Altitude sickness, carbon monoxide poisoning, migraines, recovering from scuba diving if proper protocols are not followed when resurfacing, etc.

When we heard about the carbon monoxide poisoning in the schools, we wanted to offer assistance. We heard that kids were being referred to St. George and personally knew some kids whose parents could not get them there. We called the district to offer our support, but they informed us that they would not tell people about the chambers in Cedar and they weren't sure if ours were high enough grade to be helpful in this situation.

Our chambers are a 1.5 ATA and deliver 93% oxygen via a mask. We were told when we purchased it that this was appropriate for treating carbon monoxide poisoning, and so we wanted to give other options to people in Cedar if they couldn't travel.

We have SINCE learned that the dose the children were exposed to requires higher treatment pressure than we are able to deliver in our unit. In this case, a hard-sided 2.0 ATA unit with 100% oxygen delivered is what is needed. Those are indeed only found at a hospital.

We are posting this to apologize for any misinformation. Helping our community is incredibly important to us and we apologize for any confusion.

While our chamber is a higher pressure than most, it is not the best option for the school. District's carbon monoxide poisoning.

We are grateful for a few people that let us know that there was more to look at here and, as always, are happy to be here and helping the community.

Good morning friends! Dr Becca here.

A good friend of mine is giving away this electric wheelchair for free! Do you know anyone who could use it?

When I was very sick I could not walk myself out of the house and I needed someone to push my wheelchair if I went. Until she let me use this amazing wheelchair. It gave me the freedom to get out of my house and enjoy some fresh air and I will be grateful for that. For the rest of my life. It's time to pass it along to someone else and give them that freedom, too.

It is called a "Jazzy", and you direct the wheelchair by using a joystick on the arm rest. It is 10 years old and has been taken care of very well, in the last year the battery stopped getting charged and so that will need to be replaced. It will likely cost around $200-250 to get a new battery, but everything else is working very well. You can have it if you can come and get it! Located in Cedar City.

This sourdough bread is my very favorite!
I interviewed the creator of this bread on the podcast, so you can hear from her in February, but she is actually in Cedar City right now! And she has some of the bread that we cannot find at our nature's grocer.
