Congratulations to the new CEO of the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah!

You've probably seen this familiar face around the PITU Admin Building, and now we're pleased to announce that Tyler Prisbrey will be the new CEO.

Tyler started with PITU almost 12 years ago in January 2014. He previously served as the CFO overseeing the Tribe's finances and helping ensure its financial solvency, and we are confident that he will bring this same level-headedness and familiarity with the inner workings of PITU to bear in the next stage of the Tribe's and FourPoints Health's success.

Congratulations, Tyler!

Please help us thank Tyler Goddard for 15 years of service!

Tyler has served FourPoints Health and the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah in a variety of capacities, most recently as the Behavioral Health Manager, a position he took in the spring of 2024.

Tyler can regular be spotted not only at events related to behavioral health but also lending a hand at Tribal events.

"I love helping our Tribal members and other patients find solutions to behavioral health issues and live their best life." He says he also considers himself fortunate to working alongside amazing people equally committed to helping others.

Tyler has visited almost every state in the Union, along with four other countries, and is married with five kids, two of whom are married (adding what he calls "bonus children" to the family). When he isn't working, he leads an active lifestyle, including traveling, exploring the outdoors, playing sports, and spending time with his family.

Thank you, Tyler, for everything you do!

It's that time of year again. Get your flu shot at FourPoints Health!

Influenza (the "flu") is a potentially serious illness resulting from a virus that may lead to hospitalization and, in certain cases, death.

The most vulnerable populations include young children and the elderly. Individuals aged 65 and older face a higher risk for complications associated with the flu. While receiving the vaccine does not guarantee complete immunity, it generally results in milder symptoms compared to those who are unvaccinated.

WHAT ELSE CAN I DO TO STAY HEALTHY?

Reduce the spread of germs:
• Avoid close contact with sick people.
• Wash your hands with soap and water. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
• When sick, limit your contact with others as much as possible to keep from infecting them.
• Clean frequently touched surfaces regularly, and avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

As opposed to bacterial infections (like strep throat), which may cause symptoms like localized pain, swelling, or a fever that worsens after a few days, symptoms of viral infections like the flu include runny nose, cough, body aches, fever, and fatigue.

Bacterial infections often require antibiotics for treatment. Viral infections often improve within a week or two without specific treatment. If symptoms persist beyond 10-14 days, worsen over time, or include a high fever (typically 104 for adults), consult a health care provider for proper testing, such as blood tests or cultures, to confirm the cause.

Meet the Staff: Dr. Chris Harward

Dr. Harward is a dentist in the Cedar City clinic and has been with FourPoints since June 2018.

He said his favorite part of working with FourPoints is being able to focus 100% on the patient’s oral health regardless of the most common obstacle to getting dental work done: the cost.

"I appreciate the fact we have a sliding fee scale that allows me to provide work for many patients that have had to hold off on work due to this obstacle."

FourPoints Health offers dental services in Cedar City and Richfield, including cleanings, fillings, crowns, dentures, and extractions on a sliding-fee scale. To learn more, click here: https://fourpointshealth.org/

Please join us in celebrating Luke Schneider's one-year anniversary with FourPoints Health!

Luke is an MA at our clinic in Cedar City, where he has lived for the past 4 1/2 years. Before that, he grew up in Cottonwood Heights in northern Utah. He also spent two years in South Florida serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Luke says his favorite parts of working at FourPoints are being able to help the patients and the friendships he has made with co-workers. When he isn't working, he enjoys spending time with his wife exploring southern Utah and stargazing. He also says he is "the world's biggest Real Salt Lake soccer fan."

One interesting details about Luke is that he plays multiple instruments. Want to know which ones? Next time you come in to see him, be sure to ask. 🎶 🙂 🎶

Thank you, Luke, for helping people live healthier lives!

Thank you St. George News | STGnews.com!

From the article:

FourPoints Health Director LaTosha Mayo said it’s important to understand that affordable care doesn’t mean subpar services. Mayo, who was recognized with the Transformational Leadership Award at the One Utah Summit in 2024, said there are some parts of Utah where a FourPoints Health clinic is the only place to go, but that “even in those cases, we still want to be the best.” In other words, as stated on the FourPoints Health website, the clinics provide "quality healthcare for the entire community, at a price you can afford."
