I went for a run this morning and asked my team for a message. The next song that came up was Always Love by Nada Surf. These lyrics stood out to me:

Always love
Hate will get you every time
Always love
Don't wait til the finish line

This was a great reminder that in all situations we can choose love - even during the most challenging times. It doesn’t mean that you let others walk over you. Instead, standing strong from a place of love gives you more strength.

Less fear, more love

Recently someone shared their grandma's recipe for chocolate cream pie on a FB reel. I love chocolate cream pie, so thought I would give it a try.

From the picture you might notice some "issues" around the edges of the crust. Well, I didn't cook the filling long enough and when I poured it into the crust it was way too runny. I chalk that up to "I have no idea what I was doing". :)

I did some research and got a plan together to salvage the pie. I added the runny mixture back on the stove, added some corn starch, milk, heated, and stirred. Success!

The pie doesn't look great, but it tastes really good. I'm happy with the outcome and know how to improve the next time I make the pie.

The angels want to remind us that we learn best by doing. Sometimes the outcome is runny, but we can learn, adjust, and move towards a positive direction.

Don't expect perfection when you first start doing something new. The angels encourage us to just start, have fun, and be open to the process.

Life is meant for doing and exploring. Here's your sign (and permission) to move forward on whatever it is you've been thinking about or putting off. You got this!

As humans we see the value in helping others. It makes us feel good to see someone better off because of the help or guidance provided to that person. This is all true and valid.

The same thing applies when we take the time to help ourselves - to try something new, to focus on our health (mental & physical), to give ourselves some grace.

There are many ways in which we can help ourselves. Today give yourself permission (no guilt) to do something for yourself that you've been putting off. Something that will recharge your batteries or bring a smile to your face. Then encourage others to do the same.

I found myself in a "funk" for several days last week. I wasn't sad or anything like that, but more of a "blah" and found myself just moving through the paces of each day. It took me a couple of days to notice my funk. Once I noticed it, I was a bit frustrated by it, as I didn't understand how I got here.

Eventually I asked my angelic team about this. Their response was simple - "You are a human. This happens from time to time."

At first I was a bit annoyed by this response, but soon realized that they are right. I am a human with human emotions and human stuff happening. It's okay to be just "blah" from time to time.

This was a good reminder for me that we don't always have to be "love and light", "on", or whatever phrase you wish to use. Sometimes the funk finds us. When it does, it's okay. Just keep plugging away until you find your way out of the funk.

Turn that funk into something funky. You've got this!
