Yesterday I went for a walk with a new destination in mind - a new bakery in downtown Cedar Falls, Mama Yeya’s. I’ve been following the owner’s progress online and wanted to see the place and try some treats.

The Nutella rolls were a great treat. Meeting the owner was also a treat. I could see in her and her story that opening this bakery is a passion for her. And that makes me smile.

It is good to follow our passions, as when we do so, our mood and energy shifts (in a positive way).

I hope you each make the time to do something that brings you joy today and every day. Give yourself permission to truly enjoy it.

Cedar Valley Hospice is holding a fundraiser tonight which includes a silent auction. There are a lot of great items up for bidding, including two angel reading sessions which I happily donated. This is the second year I’ve donated and am honored to help support this great organization.

If you're feeling stuck, down, or just "off", take some time to do something for yourself to lift your spirits. Reach out to a friend. Spend some time in nature. Watch a goofy movie/show.

By changing your vantage point, you may see things a bit differently. The only way to do that is to move - ideally to a higher place energetically.

That time when a sign from spirit combines your professional and spiritual aspects. 😀

I have found that spirit has a good sense of humor (at least for me). As you open yourself up to receive signs from spirit, you never know where or how signs will appear.

For me this is a reminder to continue to integrate my spiritual side with all aspects of my life. I used to think I had to keep things separate, but now understand that integration enhances all areas of life.
