Say "Boo" to the Flu. Get your flu vaccine by Halloween! Experts recommend getting your flu vaccine by the end of October so that you can be protected when flu season peaks.

We have one more flu vaccine clinic on October 23rd from 12:30-3pm in Schindler. No appointment necessary for the clinic.

You can also call the UNI Student Health Center at 319-273-2009 to schedule a flu vaccine appointment.

Emergency Contraception is available for free at the UNI Student Health Center in our K.I.S.S. Kits. These kits are located in the lobby at the Safer S*x Station and also in exam rooms. Since the addition of the kits, there have been many questions about emergency contraception. We wanted to share some information about what it is, how to use it, and what side effects could happen.

If you have any questions about emergency contraception, pregnancy, or STIs please contact the UNI Student Health Center to schedule and appointment with a medical provider. Our phone number is 319-273-2009. We are open Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm.

Screening will take place on October 9th from 10am-2pm in Schindler 143 and 145 and also in the Student Health Clinic. This week's Sunday Service Spotlight is our Psychiatric Medication Management services! We have two mental health clinicians that can prescribe and manage medications that may be needed for anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and more! We have a very good problem to have. Due to high demand we have run out of stock of our flu vaccines and had to end our flu clinic today early. Do not worry because we have more arriving tomorrow! If you need a flu shot you can call our office to schedule an appointment starting tomorrow or attend one of our flu clinics on October 8th and October 16th. Keep up the great work of getting vaccinated!

K.I.S.S Kits are now available at the UNI Student Health Center! Keeping Iowa S*xually Savy (K.I.S.S.) Kits, also known at reproductive kits, are provided by Family Planning Council of Iowa. These kits are completely free! Items in the kit include two condoms, two packets of l**e, reproductive health guide, pregnancy test, and emergency contraception pills (morning after pills). These kits can be picked up at our Safer S*x Station in the lobby or in exam rooms. No need to talk to anyone to pick up a kit. If you have any concerns for pregnancy or STIs please contact us to schedule an appointment with a provider.

Four more opportunities to get your flu shot through one of our flu vaccine clinics. These clinics are open to students and staff. No appointment is needed for any of these clinics!

The Student Health Center will file a claim with your health insurance for the vaccine. If students do not have health insurance the cost is $50.
