Happy Spring Break! We hope you are able to use this week to rest, relax, and hopefully enjoy some time outside.

The UNI Student Health Center is closed for Spring Break. We will reopen on Monday, March 23rd at 8am. If you are in need of emergency counseling services please download the TELUS Health Student Support App.

I know what you're thinking, "It's February, why are they still talking about flu shots?" It is because we are still seeing many people test positive for the flu each week!

February is still peak flu season and the season can last until May. If you have not received your flu shot now is the perfect time. The flu shot will not alleviate symptoms if you currently have the flu but it may prevent you from catching it or make your symptoms less severe. Stop by the Student Health Center to get your flu shot today!

Grief can be a lot to handle on your own. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, confused, or just need to connect, please join us on Thursday, February 19th from 2-3:30pm. The UNI Counseling will be hosting a grief support group. Please check-in at the front desk of the Student Health Center.

If you are needing support in any way and cannot make it to the support group call us at 319-273-2009 to schedule and appointment.

Spread love not STIs this Valentine's Day! Need to stock up on safer s*x supplies before the big day? The Student Health Center has you covered!

Our Safer S*x Station is located to the left of the front desk in the lobby of the Student Health Center. Currently we have regular condoms, latex-free condoms, glow-in-the-dark condoms, flavored condoms, silicone and water based l**e, dental dams, and female condoms. We also have K.I.S.S. Kits available which include Plan B, pregnancy tests, and a reproductive health guide.

The Safer S*x Station is available all school year. Student Wellness Services in the Union also has some supplies located in their relaxation room if you are unable to make it to the Student Health Center.
