From the Archives: More than 35 years after first being introduced to stained glass, Windermere resident Don Davis continues to find joy, comfort, and creativity in the craft. What began as a hobby has become a meaningful way to create beautiful pieces and share them with others.

Springtime fun at Windhaven Assisted Living. 🐣🌷
We were so glad to welcome students from Columbus Catholic High School, who spent time with our residents leading Easter-themed BINGO and cookie decorating.
Thank you to these students for sharing their time, energy, and kindness. It was a fun afternoon filled with smiles, laughter, and sweet treats. 💛

A lovely afternoon was shared at Lent by Candlelight at the Diamond Event Center.
Those who attended enjoyed beautifully decorated tables created by our volunteer table hosts, uplifting music from the Fresh Wind Choir, and a meaningful message from Chaplain Mark Eggleston. The event also featured a delicious spread of food and wonderful fellowship throughout the night.
Thank you to everyone who helped make Lent by Candlelight such a special gathering. We’re grateful for the beauty, music, reflection, and connection shared together.

Today’s Friends Program at Western Home Communities was filled with history, memories, and meaningful conversation.
We were grateful to welcome Sally Timmer, Chair of the Cedar Falls Historic Preservation Commission, who spoke about the many historic buildings of the University of Northern Iowa campus, both past and present. Residents had the chance to ask questions, reflect, and share their own memories — especially those who are UNI alumni or former employees of the university.
Thank you to Sally for a thoughtful and informative morning.
