Here's some throwback pictures from 1978-1979 taken in the newly opened Communication Arts Center. It features students, faculty, staff, and clients in the classroom and clinic! The majority of pictures were from a photoshoot and a few were published in the Old Gold Yearbook in 1979.

Across the years, college students regularly had their speech screened during their first semester on campus. This article from September 8, 1945, mentions speech faculty members Dr. Fossum and Dr. Johnson supervising these assessments. Readings like "The Grandfather Passage" or "My Grandfather" have an interesting history and continue to be used for clinical and research purposes.
