When your child has a surgery coming up, being prepared makes a big difference. Here’s how you can help things go smoothly:
Complete all pre-admission tests & medical clearances with enough time. It’s crucial that both our office and the surgical facility have reviewed everything before the big day.
Notify us about any changes in health (cold, fever, new medications, allergies). Full transparency helps avoid delays or complications.
Stop anti-inflammatory meds (like Advil, Motrin, Aleve, Ibuprofen, Aspirin) two weeks before surgery, unless your surgeon says otherwise. Tylenol is generally okay.
If someone in your home smokes, now is the time to stop. Smoke exposure can affect anesthesia and slow healing.
We’re committed to helping both parents and young patients feel supported every step of the way. If you’re preparing for surgery and have any questions, reach out to our team. We're happy to assist you through your pre- and post-operative process.
