Simple tasks like standing up makes you nauseous or turning your head triggers episodes that last hours or days.

“Practice what you preach”

I think a lot of our clients are surprised to realize that our daughter was adjusted 15 minutes after she was born, and is in the office to get adjusted twice a week...

Why?

…STRESS.

She’s growing, she’s running, she’s jumping, she’s falling, she’s rolling, she’s learning about life and feelings, she’s introduced to technology (and unavoidably exposed to EMFs) ...

Birth is a movement event, but it’s also neurological.

Your pelvis has to shift, rotate, and coordinate under pressure. And all of that movement is directed by your nervous system.

During pregnancy, your ligaments soften, your posture changes, and your joints experience new stress. If certain areas become restricted, your nervous system reads that as tension, and muscles start guarding to protect you. That’s often when sharp hip pain, pelvic pressure, or tightness shows up.

Prenatal chiropractic focuses on restoring balanced movement in the pelvis while also calming excess stress signals in the nervous system. When joints move well, the brain receives clearer input. And when the nervous system feels safe, the body coordinates more efficiently.

If you’re exhausted no matter how much sleep you get, have zero patience left, can’t remember the last time you felt like yourself, and your body is in constant pain - this isn’t “just being a mom.”

This is a sign of nervous system depletion and it’s a common issue we see with moms in our practice.

Your body has been running in survival mode for years - chronic sleep deprivation, constant vigilance, physical demands, mental load, emotional regulation for everyone. Your nervous system was designed for SHORT bursts of stress, not 24/7 activation for years on end.

Eventually, it burns out.

And that burnout shows up as: chronic tension (shoulders, neck, jaw), hormone crashes, immune system tanking, digestive issues, brain fog, and complete emotional exhaustion.

Your temporal bone - right around your ears -houses the inner ear and vestibular system, which helps regulate balance and communicates with your brain centers that control sleep and circadian rhythm.

When you travel or shift time with daylight savings, you disrupt light exposure, movement patterns, and your internal clock all at once. That confuses the brain, especially the systems connected through the temporal bone, which can throw off melatonin, cortisol, and your sleep cycle.

So it’s not just “jet lag”—it’s your nervous system trying to recalibrate. Getting adjusted, especially your cranial bones, enjoy some sunlight, and moving your body helps reset that system so you can sleep normally again.

Ever notice how your shoulders tense up when you’re anxious? Or how your stomach hurts when you’re stressed?

Your body doesn’t separate emotional stress from physical stress.
To your nervous system, it’s all the same - it’s all THREAT.

When you experience emotional stress (work pressure, relationship conflict, financial worry, grief, overwhelm), your nervous system kicks into fight-or-flight mode. And when you stay in that state chronically, your body starts to break down.

Here’s how emotional stress becomes physical pain:
Muscle tension - Your body literally braces for danger. Tight shoulders, clenched jaw, tension headaches, lower back pain—it’s your nervous system holding on.
Inflammation - Chronic stress increases cortisol and inflammatory markers, leading to joint pain, digestive issues, and chronic conditions.
Nerve sensitivity - When your nervous system is on high alert, it interprets normal sensations as pain. Everything feels more intense.
Poor sleep and healing - Stress disrupts your body’s ability to rest and repair, so pain lingers and injuries don’t heal properly.
Digestive dysfunction - Your gut is directly connected to your nervous system. Stress = IBS, bloating, nausea, acid reflux.

Most people think they’re “overstimulated”… but what if the real issue is under-processing?

Your brain and body aren’t overwhelmed because there’s too much input — they’re overwhelmed because that input isn’t being fully processed.

When the nervous system doesn’t complete the loop:
• Sensory input lingers
• Stress responses stay “on”
• The body holds tension instead of resolving it

This can feel like:
– Anxiety without a clear cause
– Brain fog or mental fatigue
– Restlessness or irritability
– Craving constant stimulation and feeling drained by it

It’s not always about doing less.

Sometimes it’s about helping your system finish what it started.

You get to choose how you show up for your health.

Every day, you’re making decisions. Some may feel small and some feel overwhelming. Healthcare isn’t something that just happens TO you. It’s something you get to actively choose.

When you choose nervous system care? You’re choosing to address the ROOT of how your body functions, not just chase symptoms around.

Your nervous system controls everything - how you sleep, digest, regulate stress, fight off illness, and heal.

When there’s interference in that system (what we call stress on the system), your body can’t do what it was designed to do.

Chiropractic adjustments remove that interference. They restore communication between your brain and body. They give your nervous system the space to FUNCTION the way it’s meant to.

A familiar pattern we notice in kids with recurring ear infections: frequent colds, mouth breathing, poor sleep, emotional meltdowns and, as a result, the ears never fully clear.

When we run neurologic scans, many of these kids show the same thing: a nervous system stuck in fight-or-flight. That stress affects muscle tension, fluid drainage, immune regulation, and inflammation response.

Parents aren’t doing anything wrong…the body just needs support.
