Foundation 2 Crisis Services Foundation 2 Crisis Services is a 24/7/365 crisis mental health and suicide prevention nonprofit. All services are free and confidential. All people. Any time.

Founded in Cedar Rapids, IA in 1970, we have provided mental health crisis support and suicide prevention/intervention services to Iowans for more than 50 years. Services include crisis phone, text, and chat support; mobile crisis outreach; mental health law enforcement liaisons; emergency youth shelter; and supportive services for youth aging out of foster care. It's estimated that approximately 7,000 Iowan children are experiencing homelessness. Our Emergency Youth Shelter provides temporary housing and support for youth ages 11-17 in Cedar Rapids who lack safe, stable housing.

If you are a runaway or homeless youth, or at risk of experiencing homelessness, or in an unsafe situation, we may be able to help. You can contact the Youth Shelter on your own for more information or to request a bed. Learn more at 319-366-8797.

November is Youth Homelessness Outreach, Prevention, and Education (HOPE) Month. There are approximately 4.2 million young people who experience homelessness every year in the U.S.

At our emergency youth shelter, we provide temporary housing for youth ages 11-17 who are considered a runaway or homeless youth, or are at risk of experiencing homelessness, or are in an unsafe situation.
