Many of the clients I work with that deal with OCD are frustrated by the idea in the media that OCD is only cleaning, fearing germs, or needing things a certain way. While these are subtypes of OCD, there are many different subtypes that are also very distressing. For more information about different subtypes, check out iocdf.org for information and expert articles. Examples in this post were taken from some resources on this site.

One of my favorite books to recommend to clients! This book has so many examples and practical tips for setting boundaries. I especially love the chapters about setting boundaries in specific areas of your life, like family, friends, work, etc. The examples are often situations I have heard many people talk about, so they are very useful.
