Effective today, June 24th, 5 weeks after having my aortic valve replaced, I am officially BACK to NORMAL WORK HOURS! Yes you read that right! I saw a few of you the last 2 days of last week for what I called my soft opening. I wanted to be back full time last week but took the advice of my surgeon and family and waited. I have been climbing ladders, cutting limbs, installing a tree swing, walking and yes riding my bike up to 15 miles. I am ready now to see you.

Happy Thursday May 30th. I write this after finishing a 1 1//4 mile walk this morning. The picture is from last night at one of my grandsons last baseball games. Why is that important? You may have come to this page looking to see why I am not in the office currently. On Monday, May 20th I had my aortic valve replaced. Surgery went well, and I got home Thursday evening! I still have Cardiac Rehab to start but as you can tell, that should be a breeze for me.
I plan to be back in the office by July 1st! Joy will be in the office a couple of times a week to check mail and messages and return calls. IF you need to get in touch leave her a message. She will return your call.
Thank you for your continued prayers, I have felt them. I can't wait to get back to serving you!

Heads up just for clarification. Roger Edkin is working at Edkin Chiropractic. Yesterday Linn County Public Health Department shared some wrong information. After contacting them, the Iowa Chiropractic Society and the State of Iowa it is determined that per Iowa code Chiropractors ARE essential health care providers and as long as they are not treating 'maintenance' cases they are allowed to treat active and acute cases. Be sure he is following ALL COVID-19 guidelines for his patients and his staff and himself. He is seeing patients by appointment only so they can stagger people in the office and disinfecting all surfaces between patients. If you need to go in, he will be back in the office Monday. You can contact them at 319-364-0052. Just covering all bases in case people heard Chiropractic Offices are closed. THEY ARE NOT CLOSED! PLEASE SHARE!

After speaking with the State of Iowa, Linn County Health Department, and the Iowa Chiropractic Society, chiropractors are clear to remain open for necessary chiropractic care. This excludes maintenance type visits. I will be back in the office on Monday and ready to treat those who are real need. We will strive to adhere to the covid19 guidelines for a safe environment.
