Volunteer Call: Champion Mine Trail Race 🏃‍♀️🌲

We’re looking for a few more helping hands for this Sunday’s inaugural Champion Mine Trail Race!

This fun community event supports the Sierra TrailBlazers Running Club and Bear Yuba Land Trust, two organizations working hard to keep our trails thriving and our running community strong.

Whether you can help with check-in, aid stations, course marking, or cheering on runners, your time and energy make a huge difference.

Michigan Bluff, Mile 55 💪✨

What. A. Day.

Our running club has the honor of running the Michigan Bluff aid station at mile 55 of the Western States 100 this weekend and wow, did our team show up. 🙌

From sunrise to well past sunset(middle of the night for many of us), our volunteers poured their hearts into supporting every single runner who came through. Ice, hydration, salt, hot food, cheers, hugs… whatever was needed, our crew was on it. The energy, the teamwork, the heart- it was something special.

Our club runner, Zoey McLarty, crushed the course and came through Michigan Bluff looking strong, focused, and determined. Watching her finish so powerfully was amazing. We’re beyond proud of her and every runner who toed that start line.

Seeing the grit, the pain, the joy and the human spirit pushing through mile after mile was inspiring. Thank you to every volunteer, every crew, pacer and every single runner. Being part of your journey was an absolute privilege.

What a fabulous gathering and Western States club drawing - runners quickly become family, thank you all for being a great group and caring for the club and each other! Here’s to many more miles together, cheering one another on in our goals, community service, laughter, tears, sweat and dirt- you all make the Sierra TrailBlazers a fun running club ❤️

A little over a week ago, our club runner Alina Edwards crushed Western States 100!
Alina, you were amazing, all smiles and are such a fabulous runner. Your dedication to your training was demonstrated for us all. It was great to see you sail through Michigan Bluff and to be there at the finish line and watch you run then track strong.
We are so proud! You inspire so many 👏
