🐾 Patient Highlight: Mazikeen

Mazikeen came to us recently after an unknown trauma incident. Her owners suspected she may have been kicked by a horse. She arrived in critical condition, and our team immediately jumped into action to assess her injuries.

Upon presentation, we performed:
🩻 X-rays
🩺 Ultrasound
🧠 CT scan
💉 Bloodwork

Thankfully, her diagnostics revealed no serious internal injuries. Mazikeen was hospitalized overnight so our team could closely monitor her neurologic status, manage her pain, and repair her wounds.

We’re thrilled to share that Mazikeen has made a full recovery and is doing wonderfully at home!

‼️ Flea & Tick Prevention Reminder ‼️

There’s a common misconception that flea and tick prevention isn't necessary during the winter months. Unfortunately, that isn’t true—fleas and ticks become active anytime temperatures rise above freezing.

This week, temperatures are expected to reach the 40s, 50s, and even 60s, which means these pests will be looking for a host… and that could be your dog or cat!
