Hamilton House Senior Living community member, Richard Miller, had an enthusiastic audience this Veteran's Day, as he shared his adventures aboard the USS Ponchatoula, while serving in the U.S. Navy. Richard's family and friends looked on in pride, as he recounted his memories from years ago.
We were honored to welcome special guest, and Purple Heart recipient, Ray Clausing Jr. to announce the names and branches of military service, as the Certificates of Honor were handed out to our veterans.
A special shout out to Ernie Rosenthal for assisting in the handing out of Certificates of Honor! ❤️🤍💙
We then had a touching trumpet solo, by Julian Brockdorf, of the Star-Bangled Banner for our veterans and guests.
The program concluded with a powerful prayer, read by one of our community member veterans, Mariann Dolezal.
We would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to all veterans for their service in the armed forces, and their courageousness in defending our nation.

I had asked Ellen to lend her creative talents and assist me in assembling some red, white & blue floral arrangements, for our upcoming Veteran's Day program. Let me tell you, she was up in the Art Room like a flash - organizing vases & assessing the situation at hand. I was stunned to find these exquisite floral arrangements in my office, upon returning from our weekly Olsen's Piggly Wiggly shopping trip! Ellen, you are amazing! 😍 I took the arrangements down to the Dining Room to show-off her talent, and to get a photo of the artist, herself. Take a look at these arrangements!

This week a few of our team members went to Las Vegas to be honored and recognized on a national stage with the 2025 AHCA/NCAL Silver Award – Commitment to Quality Award by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living!

This is the second step in a three-level rigorous program that honors and celebrates long-term care providers who demonstrate a strong commitment and succeed in improving the lives of their residents through quality care.

Hamilton House Senior Living annual pilgrimage to Holy Hill Basilica, Wisconsin this gorgeous October Monday afternoon. The vibrant array of fall colors were spectacular to see. It is always fun to see the creatively assembled roadside Holy Hill Skeleton Display, along the way. We could not have asked for a better afternoon for a fall-color ride. Thank you Amy Lehman , Kelly & Mindy for being a part of our adventure! 🍁🍂
