💕PCOS is a complex condition with many nuances.
💕Not everyone presents the same way, or with a “typical” appearance.
💕Prior to starting a treatment path, firstly, we need to go on a data gathering mission together. I like to do this in 3 stages:
1. Listening: hearing your story is the most important step to me, as a doctor, in knowing what we need to focus on.
2. Labs: this is a critical step in learning about what’s happening internally with metabolism, insulin, thyroid, hormones, etc.
3. Exam and Ultrasound: these give us valuable information about the health of the uterus, endometrium, ovaries, cervix, etc
💕Once the data gathering mission of the process is completed, then we can look at the information together and decide what the best treatment options may be for you.
💕Remember there are always options. Plural. This is not a “one size fits all” condition.
