For those who don’t know me, let me introduce myself:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🙋♀️ I’m Dr. Alyssa, a physical therapist & dance specialist.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I work with dancers of all ages, genres, & skill levels, helping them not only recover from pain or injury, but to reduce their risks of future injuries.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I particularly love working with dancers to improve their technique and performance, whether it’s for recitals or competitions. This includes things like checking out your shoes & providing recommendations for talking with your fitter, working on translating feedback from teachers, coaches, or judges, or reviewing performance videos to help you improve specific movements or skills.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I also offer special sessions like pointe readiness assessments, annual dancer physicals, and other programming options. Even if you’re not exactly sure WHAT you need, feel free to reach out & we can figure out what’s the best fit for you.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds (if not thousands!) of dancers in the community for years - but I’m not just “a dance PT”. I’ve been a dancer for my entire life too!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I still regularly train, perform, & compete in a variety of styles, most notable, West Coast Swing. If I’m not in the clinic or doing my work as a CU PT faculty member, I’m probably on the dance floor somewhere!
