A few things worth knowing going in:

Every body responds differently. Some people feel a deep sense of calm during their session. Some notice a light tingle. Some feel nothing at all, and that’s completely normal. The nervous system shift is happening whether you feel it or not.

The session ending doesn’t mean the work is done. Research has shown that the body continues to detox at an accelerated rate for up to 5 days after a cleanse. What happens after is just as important as the 30 minutes in the basin.

Not getting much color in your IonCleanse water? Before you assume something is wrong, here are two simple things to check.

The first is your water level.

The array needs to sit in 3 to 4 inches of warm water, and the copper tube at the center of the array needs to be fully covered. If it’s not, you won’t get the ionization you’re looking for. Sometimes the fix really is that straightforward – add a little more water until that copper tube is submerged.

One important note: Do not submerge the top of the array. If water reaches the connectors, they’ll corrode, and you’ll need to replace the array cord sooner than expected.

The second thing to check is your water’s conductivity.

Your unit displays both voltage and amperage during a session. The optimum range is 10 to 20 volts and 1.8 to 2.5 amps. When there’s a lack of color change, one of the ways to address this is by increasing the conductivity of the water. You do this by adding a little bit of salt at a time (typically about 1/4 teaspoon) until it is between 10 and 10.9. Any table salt other than Epsom salt will work.

And if you’ve checked both of those and you’re still seeing little to no color change, here’s the truth: your local water supply may be the reason. Chlorine, fluoride, and other additives can actually bond with the ions the IonCleanse produces and neutralize them before they have a chance to do much.

But the good news is that it doesn’t mean the session isn’t working. The continued detox effect is still at play. Continue bringing the volts down between 10 to 10.9, and the color change should increase in several sessions.
