Alfredo Häberli is among Switzerland’s most influential designers. His work – ranging from furniture and lighting to everyday objects – follows a clear aesthetic rooted in his personal credo: “Observing is the most beautiful form of thinking.” With his first eyewear designs, created in close collaboration with Nirvan Javan, a long-held passion project finds its expression. Glasses are a central object where the human being remains the focus. Hardly any other object sits closer to the individual or is worn with such constant presence.

Developed to mark the 10th anniversary of NIRVAN JAVAN – the life’s work of the eponymous designer – the collection pays homage to the duo’s shared home city. For Nirvan Javan, the ZURICH COLLECTION represents a conscious return to origins: Zurich as a design system, rather than a mere symbol.

SONIA is designed with stainless-steel fronts and bold acetate temples to provide a distinct contrast. Depending on the model, a metal core is also visible through the smooth, transparent acetate. Spectaful’s latest optical models represent a clear step forward in the brand’s ongoing exploration of form and material. These new designs bring greater dimensional definition and a more considered use of colour, while maintaining the clarity that has long defined Spectaful’s identity.

Crafted with advanced polymer fronts and acetate temples, the frames are shaped with carefully calibrated thickness and precise milling that defines contour and depth without creating visual heaviness. Edges are carefully refined, allowing each piece to achieve presence through proportion rather than excess. The relationship between front and temple is central to the design, generating contrast and rhythm while preserving coherence.
