As we look back on 2025, we are grateful for all that has been made possible. Young mothers gaining skills and starting businesses, patients leaving the hospital with hope, students receiving quality education, and women sustaining their families through their livelihoods.

🥁🥁 After 12 monthly construction updates, we are proud to announce that Musana Vocational High School – Kamuli is complete. 🎉

As we prepare to open its gates to the children whose futures will be shaped in this space of excellence in January 2026, a delegation led by Musana co-founders, Haril and Andrea Kazindra visited the campus to assess its readiness.

Brick by brick, we came together to build this school. Next year, classrooms will be filled with students gaining knowledge and practical skills; various community members will be employed as teachers, matrons, and support stafft; and the wider community will begin to experience lasting transformation.

This is the power of unity. Keep building with us as we educate generations and generations to come.

Every month this year, we’ve shared construction updates with you. We began with Musana Vocational High School – Kamuli, and later started the double construction updates on the two primary schools currently being built in Mayuge and Budaka.

It may feel like all we’ve done this year is build, but that’s the price of making quality education accessible to children in rural Uganda.

From studying at the first Musana campus to now overseeing its finances.

Alex is one of the 80 children who were cared for when Musana was still a children’s home. Today, he serves as an Accounting Officer.

Alex represents exactly what we strive for: children accessing quality education, graduating, becoming professionals, and using their skills to serve their communities.

We are building new Musana schools in Budaka and Mayuge so that more children can write success stories just like Alex’s.

In Budaka, it’s common to see hundreds of children walking along the road every morning, heading to school. You might assume their school is just a few minutes away, but many walk far longer distances.

Last month, we shared Mukisa’s story. Every day, he spends two hours walking to and from school. He often arrives exhausted, and sometimes he’s punished for being late. He can’t leave home any earlier for it’s too dark and unsafe before dawn.

What Mukisa needs is simple: a good school close to home, with a boarding section where he can stay during the school term. That school is already under construction. With your support, it will open in 2026, ensuring that Mukisa and countless other children in Budaka District no longer have to trek for an education.
