She loves teaching, but her entrepreneurial spirit inspired her to explore opportunities beyond the classroom. Through the Musana Staff Development Association (MUSDA), she was able to access capital and bring that dream to life.

At Musana Empowerment Center, our goal is to equip graduates with hands-on craft skills that expand their opportunities 🧵 ✨Through training in multiple product-making techniques, each student has the chance to discover the craft that best fits their passion and goals.

Kauma came to MEC simply wanting to learn tailoring. Since then, she has gained so much more.

Because we believe in the power of a skilled woman, our training goes beyond a single craft. Each graduate leaves equipped with a range of skills and the confidence to pursue new opportunities 💛

We recently gathered in celebration and gratitude to mark the opening of three new schools with a special prayer dedication at Musana Nursery & Primary School – Budaka. Musana leaders, honored guests, staff, and our very first students came together to thank God for this incredible milestone.

As we begin this new chapter, staff and learners joined in prayer and worship, dedicating these schools to the Lord and committing the journey ahead to His guidance and grace.

We are grateful for how far we’ve come and excited for all that is to come.

The Musana Leadership Development Program is back! 🎉
This month, 130 leaders came together for an inspiring leadership training centered on the theme, “Building a Strong, Values-Driven Organizational Culture.” Led by Musana CEOs , along with special guest speakers, the session focused on raising and equipping more leaders to drive sustainable growth and long-term impact through Musana’s replication model.

It was a powerful and engaging time of learning, reflection, and collaboration. Leaders at every level shared what resonated most and how they’re committed to putting these lessons into action.

Together, we’re moving forward—stronger, aligned, and ready to grow as one team. 💪✨

Our MEC students are back and reconnecting — sharing stories from their holiday experiences while sharpening their braiding skills 💇🏾‍♀️✨
Training at the Musana Empowerment Center has officially resumed, and we are excited to continue equipping hundreds of young women with practical, income-generating skills. These skills prepare them for employment opportunities or to confidently start their own small businesses.
The journey to economic independence continues 💛

For many young mothers in rural Uganda, becoming a mother can make their dreams feel distant. But Manjeri’s story is a reminder that hope is never lost. 💛
Through the skills training she is receiving at the Musana Empowerment Center, she is rebuilding her life and creating a new path forward for herself and her child.
If you are in Iganga, Kaliro, or Kamuli, girls and women can enroll at the nearest Musana Empowerment Center to gain practical skills and build a brighter, more independent future.
