Musana We are on a mission to break cycles of dependency and poverty by investing in and operating faith-driven, locally-owned, sustainable social enterprises.

WHO WE ARE
We are a faith-driven nonprofit organization that uses a business model to lift communities out of poverty

OUR VISION
To see a world free of dependency & full of dignity

OUR MISSION
To break cycles of dependency and poverty by investing in and operating faith-driven, locally-owned, sustainable social enterprises. WHAT WE DO
We build and operate high-quality and self-sustaining schools, hospitals, and other social enterprises that help Ugandans lift their communities out of poverty and thrive for generations. WHAT ARE SOCIAL ENTERPRISES? Social enterprises are businesses committed to addressing social and community needs, prioritizing impact over maximizing profit. WHY MUSANA? When you give to Musana, you empower locals with the infrastructure they need to make long-term change within their own communities.

Musana hosted over 250 delegates at our 2025 Annual General Meeting, presided over by the RDC, Mr. Pinto Muwada Ismael.

During the session, our CEOs shared updates on Musana’s 2025 performance, offering accountability and insight to stakeholders.

The RDC also pledged support in helping Musana apply for tax exemptions on certain donated items, recognizing the wide range of services provided to the community. We were honored to be joined by dignitaries from across the districts where Musana operates.

As we reflect on the year behind us and look ahead, we remain focused on our long-term vision and confident in our continued ability to serve the communities where we operate.

We’re grateful to all our stakeholders for their continued partnership and meaningful engagement 🤝

Sometimes, all someone needs is access to quality healthcare.

For Marion, a hardworking mother of two and salon owner, an illness forced her to stay home. Unable to work, everything she relied on was suddenly put on hold.

After receiving care at Musana Hospital in Kamuli, Marion was able to recover and return to the life she had built.

Access to healthcare made it possible for her to keep going 💛

This World Health Day, we’re joining the global call from Health Organization (WHO) —“Together for Health: Stand With Science.” 🌍

At Musana Hospitals, that means listening closely to the communities we serve and responding with care that’s both evidence-based and locally informed—from outreach to improving immunization rates.

Because lasting impact in healthcare starts with understanding people, not just problems.

We’re grateful to be part of a broader effort working toward quality healthcare within reach for all.

It was ballot time at Musana Primary Schools.

Campaign season filled campuses with energy – student-made posters, campaign songs, and speeches echoing through the day. One by one, candidates stepped forward, sharing why they were ready to lead their peers.

Then came the moment to vote 🗳️ Students cast their ballots. Voices were heard. Leaders were chosen.

Moments like these go beyond the classroom. They shape confidence, responsibility, and what it means to lead with integrity.

Congratulations to our newly elected student leaders 👏 We can’t wait to see how you serve your communities and inspire others.

With the recent opening of Musana Schools in Budaka and Mayuge, our team has grown to 862 full-time local staff members 🎉

These are individuals from the communities we serve who can now build meaningful careers close to home, rather than leaving in search of work. At Musana, they are leading, serving, and contributing to the growth of their own communities.

More teachers, matrons, and support staff mean more students are supported, cared for, and equipped for success 📚

When local leaders are empowered, entire communities move forward.

In partnership with World Vision International we joined the Kabiri community for a health outreach centered on education, prevention, and care 💛

Together, we addressed prevalent health issues, shared practical information on available treatments, and emphasized prevention to help safeguard families.

We also provided health screenings and distributed medicine to those in need

Because healthy communities start with access to care, knowledge, and treatment.

Teacher Nancy had a dream ✨

She loves teaching, but her entrepreneurial spirit inspired her to explore opportunities beyond the classroom. Through the Musana Staff Development Association (MUSDA), she was able to access capital and bring that dream to life.

MUSDA exists to empower Musana staff by supporting their personal economic ventures 🌱

Stories like Nancy’s remind us how inspiring it is to see members of the Musana family thrive 💛

Musana Nursery & Primary School – Budaka is officially open! 🎉📚

Meet Teacher Grace and the very first students stepping into classrooms filled with possibility. What was once a vision is now a place where children can learn, grow, and dream about the future ahead.
