We’re welcoming Erin Dolan to our practice as our Educational Coordinator!

Erin brings years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist and a deep commitment to empowering families and professionals in the AAC community. With expertise in running parent education programs in the areas of AAC implementation, family coaching, and autism, she will be instrumental in our exciting expansion.

As we grow, we’re adding training, education, and coaching services with families and professionals. Erin will lead these efforts, ensuring families—and the professionals working alongside them—have the support and knowledge they need to help their beautifully complex children thrive.

🎉We are sharing exciting news🎉

We are thrilled to welcome Amy Zurcher to our practice and assistive technology program!

Amy is an Indiana native who earned her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Indiana University in 2009. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine in 2012 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. For the better part of her career, Amy was a travel PT. She used this opportunity as a means to explore the US, meanwhile diversifying her skill set and collaborating with healthcare providers with varying practice approaches. Her work in a variety of settings allowed Amy to see clients across a continuum of demographics from neonate to centenarian with a broad range of diagnoses and unique treatment needs. She was introduced to the expansive world of assistive technology upon moving to Colordao in 2021 and has since made a career of helping others achieve improved function and quality of life using adaptive and mobility equipment.

Whether through communication devices, sign language, gestures, words, or a combination, every child deserves to express who they truly are. Real communication is messy, beautiful, spontaneous, and uniquely theirs.

⭐️AAC has opened a window into Hayden’s ideas, opinions, and personality. Using AAC shows us that she is smart, witty, and has a desire to share her thoughts… thoughts that are limited by her body’s inability to use spoken words to communicate. There is so much going on in that mind of hers- unlocking the ability to share it helps not only us, but the world, see her as a unique person rather than merely as her diagnosis.
