We celebrated the change of the season at Oasis Rehabilitation and Nursing with a very special Spring Pet Therapy visit. Our residents spent the afternoon cuddling these gentle, fuzzy friends, bringing a burst of new-season joy and calm to our facility.

Oasis Rehabilitation and Nursing was so proud to march in the Center Moriches St. Patrick’s Day Parade this weekend. We loved seeing so many familiar faces, friends, and families lining the route.

Oasis is featuring Crème Brûlée as our Bakery Item of the Month! This classic dessert, whose name translates to “burnt cream” in French, features a rich, silky custard topped with a crisp caramelized sugar crust that cracks with every spoonful. A timeless treat that’s both elegant and delicious! ✨

A big thank you to the National Honor Society students from Center Moriches High School! 💙 As part of their community service project, they collected and personally delivered 76 puzzle books to our Oasis residents. Sharing smiles, conversation, and thoughtful moments along the way. We are so grateful for their kindness and commitment to giving back to our community!

Sweet winter moments at Oasis ❄️🍪

Our residents had a wonderful time decorating snowflake cookies with icing and sprinkles! A fun, hands-on activity that brings the comforts of home right into our community.

Beyond the sweetness, this age appropriate adult activity offers meaningful benefits: strengthening fine motor skills, encouraging creativity, and gently challenging the hands and mind in an enjoyable way. The smiles (and sprinkles!) say it all. ✨

Oasis Rock Steady Boxing went full Mardi Gras mode! 💜💚💛🥊

Our Mardi Gras Edition brought together high energy boxing drills and engaging cognitive games, creating the perfect blend of physical and mental stimulation. Programs like Rock Steady Boxing are designed specifically to support individuals living with Parkinson’s by improving strength, balance, coordination, and focus in a fun, motivating environment. Oasis proudly opens our doors to our community members, training them jab cross Parkinson’s.
