Fighting back against Parkinson’s requires a powerful punch! 🥊

At Oasis Rehabilitation and Nursing, our specialized Parkinson’s group recently combined the high-energy drills of Rock Steady Boxing with targeted strength exercises from the Otago Exercise Program for a highly focused fall-prevention session.

This dynamic clinical combination helps our residents achieve incredible health outcomes:

Celebrate Occupational Therapy Month with a spotlight on Allie, one of our amazing Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) at Oasis Rehab and Nursing!

In this video, Allie demonstrates a simple yet life-changing tool: the sock aide. For many of our residents, regaining independence in daily tasks like getting dressed is a huge milestone. 🧦

This April, we’re playing for more than just points. 🏓

In honor of Parkinson’s Awareness Month, Oasis Rehab and Nursing is proud to partner with Sunrise Senior Living and Caring People to host Ping Pong for Parkinson’s on April 7th.

Beyond the physical and cognitive benefits of the sport, we are rallying together to raise funds for the an organization dedicated to providing essential tools and inspiration for those living with PD.

Event Highlights:
🎤 Expert Talk: Our Director of the Parkinson’s Disease Program shares the latest on “living well.”
🎟️ Raffle Baskets: Fantastic prizes with 100% of proceeds supporting the Davis Phinney Foundation.
🏓 Open Play: No experience needed, just a desire to move!
