The healing that happens when women gather is palpable. These sessions have been a soft space to land, to rest, and to remember the rhythm of nature that lives within us. We’ve been shifting perspectives and reframing the narrative through ancient wisdom.

Menopause is a natural seasonal shift and we have been learning how to create balance by cultivating stability, nourishing the tissues, and supporting the nervous system.

Next up is session three: exploring the emotional and spiritual landscape of this sacred transition. An invitation inward…into the subtle body, the heart, and the inner flame where the deeper transformation unfolds. Together we can cultivate reverence rather than resistance.

Seven seasons of cleansing together… each time it deepens.

This round was a small and seasoned group. We were able to go into the more subtle layers of awareness that a seasonal cleanse can bring - reflection, release, and the remembrance of what truly nourishes us.

When cleansing becomes a ritual and not only a reset, something special happens. There is a slowing down, an invitation into more stillness. Here the body softens, the mind quiets, and the wisdom of the heart opens.

The community of a cleanse, even a small group, is a powerful container for the tender presence of people showing up fully for themselves and each other.

Our first session was a beautiful evening - we explored the Ayurvedic perspective of menopause and how in this season of life (we call vata), stability and nourishment are essential.

It was a cozy evening, including gentle movement, and the deep rest of an acupuncture treatment for grounding the nervous system.

Join us for session 2 on Nov 18, as we go deeper into how to create a greater sense of stability and deep nourishment during this transition. We’ll explore lifestyle rhythms and foods that support balance from the inside out.

Each session includes discussion, breathwork, gentle movement, and a restorative acupuncture treatment.

Leave with a sense of grounding, connection, and a deepened understanding of how to care for yourself in alignment with nature.

This feels like a long time coming. A few years ago, while in school for clinical Ayurvedic medicine, I did my research paper on Ayurveda for menopause. I found the perspective to be enlightening and helpful for many of my clients and in preparing for this stage of my own life.

The conversations on menopause and women’s health in general have been getting louder and now as a perimenopausal woman myself, I am so excited to offer support and share this wisdom and perspective with the women in my community.

Join me and my dear friend and colleague, licenced acupuncturist, Sheila Gordon for a restorative and enlightening 3 part healing immersion that reframes menopause through the ancient lenses of Ayurveda and Chinese Medicine.

Through breath, gentle movement, nourishing conversation, and an acupuncture treatment, you’ll leave not with a list of things to fix, but with a sense of grounding, connection, and a deepened understanding of how to care for yourself in alignment with nature.

As we move towards Spring, our bodies naturally seek to detoxify. We can support this process by making adjustments to our diets and lifestyles.

Opting for lighter foods, increasing circulation by increasing our daily movement, and using simple herbal medicine we can find in our kitchens, are all ways to align with this seasonal shift.

CCF tea has been used for centuries in Ayurveda to aid digestion, nutrient absorption, and detoxification. CCF stands for Cumin, Coriander, and Fennel. This tea is a staple in our seasonal cleanses.

Ingredients:
3 cups water
1 tsp coriander seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp fennel seeds

How to Make It:
In a small pan over high heat, bring water to boil.
Turn off the heat.
Add coriander, cumin, and fennel seeds and let steep for at least 5 minutes.
Strain into a thermos and drink between meals.

To get into the habit of making this tea daily, add half a cup of cumin, half a cup of coriander, and half a cup of fennel to a glass jar and shake well to mix. Just use the ratio of ~ 1 teaspoon CCF Tea for every 1 cup of water. For a stronger brew, boil the tea for 10 minutes.

Optional additions: a slice of fresh ginger to add a little more heat to your digestive fire or a squeeze of lime if you need some cooling.
