Santa came for a visit! We appreciate Santa making time to stop by and deliver gifts. Not only does he deliver gifts, but brings Holiday cheer and smiles to our residents! 🎅🎄

We celebrated Elf day! Residents enjoyed an Elf Yourself craft which we then hid for a scavenger hunt. We also sang Christmas carols "loud for all to hear!"

On 12/11/2025, we invited out families to have dinner with their loved ones. We were able to serve over 100 residents and families who were able to spend some quality time together. There were many stories, laughs and smiles throughout the evening. We wanted to recognize all of our team members in making this happen especially the ones not pictures and working hard behind the scenes! We are grateful for everyone who attended and assisted and look forward to making this an even better event next year!🍽👪🙂

We celebrated Grinch day at Austin Trace! While residents and staff enjoyed Grinch punch and popcorn, guess who showed up? The Grinch himself! He tried to steal bingo chips, presents, and drinks, but his heart grew from all the hugs he received from our residents. 💗🤗🍿

On 12/4/2025, a few of our wonderful staff (from left to right) Jacklyn, Lisa, Tammy, Ryan and Austin were able to gather a group of some of our ventilator residents to take them to the Light up Middletown Christmas Lights. The event was brought up when Lisa, our respiratory therapist, approached management and mentioned that needed to do something fun with our ventilator residents. Often times these residents don't get to participate in many outings due to their conditions, and she felt it would be a great thing to boost morale. We then came up with the idea to attend the annual Light up Middletown event. Both residents and staff had a fantastic time and made another great memory with Austin Trace!🎄🦌⛄

A big THANK YOU to a resident family member for providing a Christmas floral craft for our residents! Our residents really enjoyed putting together a wonderful arrangement to either gift or use as decor in their room. 🎄🎁⛄

We had a wonderful Halloween! We would like to give a big shout out and THANK YOU to all of our families and staff for attending our trick or treat night! We had such a good crowd, the residents loved seeing the children and passing out candy. Thank you to all that were able to participate, you brought many smiles and provided such good memories for our residents.

A big THANK YOU to our DON, Amanda, and ADON, Caylin, for bringing their horses and goats to visit our residents! Oreo, Snickers, Ditto, and Lady were a joy to meet and love on. 🐴🐐🥰

Arthropods & Reptiles...OH MY!
We enjoyed a wonderful visit and presentation from the Dayton Boonshoft Museum of Discovery! We learned about a millipede, blue tongued skink, milk snake, & desert tortoise. We were even able to touch a few of them. 🦎🐢🐍

We enjoyed embracing the tropical vibes with an Aloha party! Residents enjoyed socializing while wearing colorful leis, listening to island music, and sipping on pina colada slushies. A tropical escape right at Ausin Trace! 🍹🌴🎶
