From her younger days as a cashier at Woolworth's and tending chickens on a potato farm in Fort Fairfield, Maine, to her current passion for painting, reading, and crosswords, Eleanor has filled each chapter of life with curiosity and joy.

She inspires us all with her mantra: "If it's not alright today—it will be one day." Happy 100th, Eleanor!

We are honored to share our "High Performing" designation for both short- and long-term care! Helping people age with dignity and compassion is a privilege we take to heart 💚

Without compassionate employees and leadership in place, this achievement would not be possible. Thank you to our short-term rehabilitation patients and long-term residents and families for the trust you place in our nonprofit community!

U.S. News analysed data about staffing, quality of care, and health and safety inspections at almost 15,000 nursing homes to help you find the best care near you. https://bit.ly/47Ov8vL

Sometimes, when the news feels filled with stories that are difficult to read, it can be hard to look for the light. Before transitioning from her role as unit secretary into the Bethany Village finance department, Katie D. created a shared library for residents and families living with dementia. The collection, carefully curated with beautifully written stories and picture books, offers comfort and inspiration, tailored specifically toward persons living with dementia.

The shared library reminds us that even small acts can make a big difference. While Katie is no longer involved in day-to-day happenings on Courtyard Park, her thoughtful touch continues to impact lives – a lasting reflection of her commitment to .

Bethany Village Pastor Scott Nellis recently led a six-week Bible study, exploring faith through the lens of “The Chosen,” a TV series that portrays the story of Jesus and his ministry in a deeply personal and impactful way.

For the final session, the group welcomed fellow Daytonian Alicia Overman, who has appeared as an 'extra' in seasons 4, 5, and the upcoming season 6.

Alicia shared how she first discovered “The Chosen” and the unexpected journey that followed, which took her from watching an episode at home to joining the cast on set in Utah and Texas, experiencing life on the set of a major television production - even meeting the main cast members.

The group thoroughly enjoyed asking questions, seeing her cast costume, and looking through photos from the set! Pastor Scott plans to continue future studies on the series, inviting more opportunities for conversation, connection, and shared faith.

Caring for the mind is just as important as caring for the body.
At Bethany Village, we believe mental well-being is strengthened through connection, purpose, and community. Whether it’s through meaningful activities, supportive care, or simply sharing a laugh with neighbors, every day is an opportunity to nurture wellness together.

Let’s continue breaking the stigma and supporting one another, because mental health matters at every age.
