๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Honoring Our Veterans & the 250th Birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Yesterday, we celebrated the 250th Birthday of the United States Marine Corps with a special visit from the VFW of Hyannis, followed by a touching tribute to our veterans here at Cape Regency.

Our Marine veterans, Ralph Kinney and James Coughlan, joined in as stories were shared โ€” including one about a long-standing Marine tradition: no matter where they serve, every Marine enjoys a slice of birthday cake on November 10. Even during wartime, when one truck carrying the cake was destroyed, another was sent to ensure every Marine received their piece. ๐ŸŽ‚

Itโ€™s a beautiful reminder of unity, honor, and the importance of never leaving anyone behind.

Today and every day, we thank all who have served and continue to serve. โค๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™

Happy Veterans Day โ€” and Happy 250th Birthday to the U.S. Marine Corps!

Recovery is built on strong foundations โ€” and two of the most important are home and community.

A safe, stable home provides security and structure. Itโ€™s the place where healing routines can grow and where people feel grounded as they focus on their health.

Community gives recovery its strength. Friends, family, peers, and care teams provide encouragement, accountability, and belonging. None of us recover alone โ€” connection reminds people that support is always within reach.

In a nursing home setting, both of these elements come together. A safe environment, paired with a supportive community, creates a foundation where recovery can thrive.

This Recovery Month, we honor the importance of safe homes and strong communities in every recovery journey.
