“In America, we don’t have a mental health crisis, we have a mental health disaster!” Dr. Tim Clinton President, American Association of Christian Counselors. Speaking at the National Conference in Dallas this year, regarding the post-pandemic era we are in.

The Life Interrupted workshop is designed for the emotional healing and recovery of who served continually during the worldwide pandemic.

During our Life Interrupted workshop, we will learn practical ways to regulate and express our feelings and emotions in a manner which facilitates our healing.

Growing in understanding our God given physiology, and neurology we will engage techniques for stress reduction. Our approach will include interactive exercises, writing, art therapy, humor, and monologues. Utilizing the body of Christ, we will process our feelings and emotions while integrating our faith to bring stability to these uncertain days.

Life Cadence
In cycling, cadence is the number of revolutions of the crank per minute; this is the rate at which a cyclist is pedaling/turning the pedals. Cadence is directly proportional to wheel speed but is a distinct measurement and changes with gearing—which determines the ratio of crank rpm to wheel rpm. Wikipedia
When cycling you do well to maintain a cadence of 80 revolutions per minute. This will allow your muscles to adapt for the long haul, and gearing allows for that cadence.
In life, our cadence is determined by what we set our expectations on.
As changing our gears in cycling allows as to maintain a cadence, we can change our expectations of ourselves and others to maintain a smoother cadence/rhythm in life.
What is the incline that you are facing in relationship to God, yourself, or others that you need to shift your presumptions in order to maintain a healthier Life Cadence?

As our society continues to shift under our feet, grounding is essential. The culture has truly lost its way, as people call evil good, and good evil.

The outcome of this drift in society is Fear, Isolation and Loneliness.

There is a great importance for us to understand that our Identity is found first in God. Basing our identity in Him is true grounding.

Having found our Identity we can discover our God given Purpose. When we truly know whose we are, we can operate freely in what we were created to do. Paul writing in Ephesians 2:10 states “We are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works.”

Having connected to our God given Identity, and moving into His Purposes we then can be anchored to Hope. Romans 5:5 states that “Hope does not disappoint us because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit.”

Hope has to everything to do with our future. The good news is that God is already there, and we will with increased confidence, look with hope toward our future.

Congratulations!
Your threshold of tolerance has exceeded your wildest expectations. Your resilience is on display for all the world to see.
You have learned how to adapt in more ways in this season then you ever thought possible in a lifetime. Work, school, worship, family relationships, travel restrictions, shopping, dining out and the list goes on.
You have made countless adjustments and you are still adjusting, making your world and the world around you a safer place.
Yes, we all show signs of the stressors that have impacted our lives, but we are still in the game. Of course, our resilience is not ours in a vacuum. Isaiah writes, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Yes, our help has indeed come from the Lord the maker of heaven and earth. May we find anew, His great love sustaining and enabling us on this great adventure, known as “our lives.”
