Thank you to Harmony Healthcare of Long Island for organizing today's press conference bringing together community health center leaders to advocate for our most vulnerable patients.
Our CEO Aaron Clark joined fellow health center leaders to call on the New York State Legislature to protect 340B and establish telehealth parity.
These aren't just policy issues. For Long Island Select Healthcare, 340B restrictions cost us $800,000 annually, the equivalent of five new providers or have to capacity to handle 4,000-5,000 additional visits.
And telehealth parity would allow us to better recruit specialists to serve our community, including the 8,500 patients across Suffolk County who depend on us.
21 states have already passed 340B protections. It's time for New York to do the same, at zero cost to taxpayers.
