Every month, Calverton National Cemetery holds a service for veterans who were laid to rest without a ceremony at the time of interment. This month, 19 veterans from across all services were honored. Jim Lentz, funeral director and Marine Corps veteran, participated in the 21-gun salute ceremony, and Rich Papile, funeral director, who attends this service monthly, paid tribute to those who served.
