We're about to enter one of the more challenging periods of the month and for the year. Mars enters the sign of Aries on April 9 and it begins a period that will go on in its first phase through the 20th.

Mars will conjunct Neptune, the Moon, Saturn and Mercury all in a period of about 8 days in Aries. The next major phase is from May 8-18, before Mars enters the sign of Ta**us on May 18th.

This doesn't mean that everything that happens during this time will be bad in nature, it just means things will be much more volitile/intense for humanity. It is interesting to note that a fragile "cease-fire" was declared on April 7 with regards to the conflict in the Middle East, but it is nowhere really near peace by any means. The tension is still there and building up again. But I also believe there is evidence that some behind the scenes, perhaps within the military, ar

However, with Mars' ingress into Aries on the 9th, it is a chance for us to take a look at how we respond/react to things instinctually and/or with fear. We can tune to see how we have felt in situations where a more assertive or aggressive approach come through.

Mars will test patience within us along with how we react without thinking things through. Of course, there are times where we do need to react/respond through instinct but other times when the thinking was necessary but wasn't utilized. Aries is on the polarity with the sign of Libra. Libra can help think about consequences and how actions may help and/or hurt others. It is also a sign that tends to be more passive and hence more peaceful (not always, but in general). Some of this energy is showing up, I believe, behind the scenes, perhaps within the military, to find a different path to accomplishing the Aries mission.

There is a chance, as Mars and Mercury get close to Saturn, beginning on the 17th, that we may have some containment, temporarily of the stronger Aries expression in the world. Saturn can help find more practical solutions, but this month is really dominated by Mars in Aries, so Saturn may have trouble stemming the Aries will and instincts.

More to follow soon . . .

Mars in Aries begins on April 9, 2026
The stellium of Aries really gets amplified on April 9 due to Mars ingressing into the sign of Aries on that day.

The last time Mars was in Aries, (April 30, 2024 - June 8, 2024), Saturn and Neptune were in the sign of Pisces. This year, Saturn and Neptune are in the early degrees of Aries with Chiron and Eris having already occupied the sign. Also, during that time, there was a surge in volitiliy in the world, but also actions attempting to bring peace.

Astrologically, Mars is at home in the sign of Aries. This means the planet has a tendency to fulill its full expression of being an actional, reactive and kinetic force for the world. Mars symbolizes the masculine principle, taking the initiative and relying on instinct. Aries is also very much like that except that the sign is much more directed to finding its mission and purpose (or identity) and directing the energy to accomplishing said mission.

Mars entering Aries tends to bring in a period of greater instability and April 2026 will be no exception. Mars will be spearheading the April 9-20 period of greater intesity. First, Mars will conjunct Neptune on the 12th, the Moon on the 14th, Saturn on the 19th and Mercury on the 20th. Mars will then conjunct Eris and Chiron in May. That all happens in the sign of Aries. The 19th and 20th of April are especially potent due to it being a triple conjunction between Mercury, Mars and Saturn.

Ultimately, it is in how we respond to the astrological energetic shift that determines how Mars in Aries will go. No astrological sign is about being destructive inherently. Aries can be a defender for peace and a voice for justice as well. It can show up with fearlessness and boldness to protect those that are more vulnerable to agression and also save lives through being a healer who makes it their mission and purpose.

However, in the current state of affairs on the planet, I am greatly concerned about how this astrological transit will go. For us all individually, it is chance to breathe deeply and practice kindness, helping to create safe space for others and ourselves.

Sun squares Jupiter on April 5, 2026
As we prepare for the upcoming expansion of the Aries stellium, the Sun, still in Aries will square Jupiter in Cancer at 16°08’ Aries/Cancer on April 5, 2026.

This is the point when Jupiter begins to move (apparent movement) a bit faster in the sky relative to our vantage point on Earth. Jupiter will make haste to an important conjunction with the Sun in late July.

The Sun-Jupiter square also brings in some tension between Aries and Cancer, expanding that tension and what is already happening in the world through Jupiter. The Sun will then conjunct the other Aries planets of Chiron and Eris later this month.

On a personal level, we can work with this Sun-Jupiter square through contributions to family and community. It is a time of speaking our truth while also having compassion for all those impacted by the chaos around us, including in our personal/professional circles.

It is a time to also breathe and find time to relax in between actions. The primal energies are strongly supported and active right now, but it is important to feel what our hearts want and where they can be of help to others but also ourselves and our purpose.

Coming up soon! I'll be at the RaSani Fair taking place on April 11-12 in Albany, Oregon. I'll be doing a talk centered upon how to navigate these wild times using the resources of shamanic-alchemical astrology. In addition, I'll be offering astrology readings both days at my usual booth near the speaking areas. This event is the largest of its kind in the State of Oregon! There will be over 100 vendors, readers and healers in the building, so it is a wonderful time to meet us in person to receive the gifts and help we all offer.

Mercury reaches its maximum elongation from the Sun on April 3 at 16°20’ Pisces. From an experiential standpoint, we can see Mercury move only about 28° from the Sun. This is due to Mercury’s orbit, because it is on an inside track between the Sun and Earth. Symbolically, the maximum elongation of Mercury represents a stronger expression of an independent mind (and heart with Pisces) for humanity.

In Mercury's regular cycle, the maximum elongation takes place 6 to 7 times a year, depending upon the retraograde loops. In this case, the nearly 28 degree distance from the Sun is about as distant as Mercury will ever get in its separation from the Sun. At other times, it can be as close as an 18 degree elongation from the Sun.

Much of this (the number of degrees from the Sun) has to do with the vantage point being on Earth and looking inward toward Mercury and the Sun.

This closeness that Mercury has with the Sun has contributed greatly to the symbolic and astrological qualities of Mercury as the Messenger. Essentially, it is seen as delivering messages, knowledge and wisdom between the Sun and the various other planets that come close and conjunct Mercury and the Sun each year.

The fact that Mercury in Pisces reaches 27+ degrees from the Sun also tells us of the importance to free our spirits and hearts from the trappings. programming and limitations we place on it.

Mercury will remain in Pisces until April 14, when it ingresses into the sign of Aries. We will be in the middle of a very potent period with a very large stellium in Aries.

Libra Full Moon on April Fools Day
April kicks off with a Full Moon on April Fool's Day or we could say an April Fool's Moon😊✨. This takes place at 7:12 pm PDT at 12°21’ Libra. In the sky, the Moon will be in the Priestess constellation.

Two important qualities to consider about this Full Moon:

1) Since the Moon is in the Priestess constellation, Libra primarily overlays the this constellation, conveying a message to humanity about the sacredness of the Earth Mother and the preservation of her patterns and life expression.

Libra tells us we need to work together as a collective rather than just the individual and their accomplishments. It is only in teamwork that we can truly protect and be of service to Earth, the Goddess and humanity.

The stars of the Priestess also share with us our ancestry and Earthy origins including our dependance on Earth's rhythms and cycles, especially our annual harvests and collective work that goes into it, not only to nourish us but also to celebrate and partner with Earth.

2) On the chart of the Full Moon, a pattern shows up. It is what is known as a "bucket" in astrology. The Libra Moon becomes the "handle" of the bucket, giving it the power to momentarily direct the energy of the planets.

A way to interpret this is by first recognizing the polarity the Libra has with Aries.
In this way, the Libra Moon adds a more cooperative expression of the pile up of planets on the other side of the chart.

There is also a forming trine between Uranus and Pluto that will perfect in July (as part of the double sextile with Neptune/Saturn in Aries.

In May, we will get to experience 2 Full Moons on May 1st and May 31st.

Venus in Ta**us today, March 30, 2026
Venus is the first planet to begin the slow process of breaking apart the long-standing stellium that has traveled through Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces and Aries. She enters into the sign of Ta**us on March 30 at 9:03 pm PDT.

Venus’ entry into Ta**us is just 4 days after Venus conjuncted Eris and Chiron on 3/26. Venus adds an element of the rise of the goddess in her willful desires and gifts to take in the pleasures of the earth and bathe in its comforts and conveniences. Venus will help us focus upon what is valuable in our lives, both from within and without.

Venus will be in Ta**us until April 23rd, which then places the planet in the sign of Gemini. However, just before entering Gemini, Venus will conjunct Uranus on April 23rd hours before entering Gemini. This happens at 6:58 pm PDT on the 23rd (just 2 hours before entering Gemini).

Venus is more "at home" in the sign of Ta**us, at that sign resonates the a major part of the core principles of the feminine, particularly in its receptive nature. During this time, we may experience some departure from the intensity that we are currently experiencing, or at least elping us see the beauty and comforts still around that Earth is sharing with us.

Voices and the Venus-Eris-Chiron Conjunction
Venus was in conjunction with Eris and Chiron on March 26th, but this is nto the end of the story. In late April and in May, Mercury and Mars will also be in cojunction with Chiron and Eris. I believe these 2 planetary bodies are helping greater humanity to show up and be heard around the planet.

Eris as a planetary body tends to help disrupt the staus quo, especially those that ignore or think they are above reproach. Eris supports a general sense of activism, especially for the feminine.

Chiron can reveal are deepest wounds or soul wounds of humanity. Chiron gives us a chance to look at them and bring them into conscious awareness. This awareness can them assist us in uncovering the shamanic medicine and/or alchemizing the wounds into an elixir of healing.

With all that said, I feel with the recent conjunction and the next ones beginning at the end of April and into May, there will be another level this potential energy will reach or humanity. This is our journey and our voices.

With all of this Aries energy, including Saturn and Neptune, I feel that justice will be coming in the long term.

If we throw in Pluto currently moving through Aquarius (began in the 2023-24 period), we are seeding a time where both the chance of powerful conflicts arise and a chance to unify the fractured people across the lands can happen. The latter can be especially true if more people are able to look more deeply within to realize were are all part of the same fabric that has been weaved.

Venus conjuncts Eris and Chiron March 26, 2026
Today, March 26, 2026, Venus is in conjunction with both Eris and Chiron at 25°03’ Aries and 25°24’ Aries respectively.

Venus' conjunction with Eris and Chiron bring on a more receptive vibe to our own vulnerabilities and soul wounds. It is also an outcry of all the wounds bourne by the feminine energy in recent times and I believe is especially related to ongoing awareness of the disempowerment/empowerment of women and others by those in power and others supporting them.

Venus is an activation of the ongoing, but separating conjunction period of Eris and Chiron which began in 2025 and continues through early 2027. It has brought in more volatility to the world. The overall intention of this conjunction period is to bring attention to issues surrounding war, activism, speaking from instinct, equal rights, healing from injustice and real-world truth.

All of this activity is happening in the sign of Aries in combination with the Saturn-Neptune conjunction period as well. I surmise that we are feeling a greater intensity with the world and its events more acutely due to the combination of Saturn-Neptune and Eris-Chiron conjunction periods. While the 2 conjunctions are not close to each other, they are co-present in Aries, which still means they are linked up.

As shared before in previous posts, once Venus leaves Chiron and Eris, the Sun will conjunct Eris and Chiron in April, then Mercury also in April and Mars will do the same in May.

Sun-Saturn Conjunction March 25, 2026
After conjuncting Neptune, the Sun moves into a conjunction with Saturn today, March 25, 2026 at 04° 43’ Aries.

The is the center of Saturn direct movement between station points. The conjunction emphasizes the qualities of Saturn in Aries and the continuing conjunction period between Saturn and Neptune that began in 2025.

Saturn in Aries is akin to a call to justice, revolution, forging a new foundation and creating just laws for all of humanity. But it can also motivate a counter-movement toward greater control of what some may consider to be chaos and lawlessness. But those movements can also be distorted or not seen clearly, as if in illusion due to Neptune being close by.

Past periods when Saturn was in Aries were in 1967-69 and 1996-98. Those periods were revolutionary in economics, culture and for equal rights movements. But it also helped spawn more independence and reactionary movements. Those periods also involved strong influence from the planets Uranus and Neptune.

Those also means counter movements for justice against laws or limits that are percieved to be completly out of alignment for humanity, thereby promoting revolutionary energy. Those movements can be activated by abuses of laws or a consolidation of power in the few.

The next major stage of Aries' activation will begin in April when both Mars (April 9) and Mercury (April 14) go into Aries and conjunct Neptune, Saturn, Eris and Chiron in April and May.

03/23/2026

We've been getting an intense preview of what is to come for late March and April. The stellium of planets in the sign of Aries continues with 6 celestial bodies in that sign. The Sun moved into Aries at the equinox and April promises to have the potential to carry forth the energies of March in a more potent way.

This is due to Venus leaving Aries on March 30 while both Mars and Mercury enter Aries on April 9 and 14, repsectively. This will setup a powerful mid-April period that creates more opportunities for conflicts to continue but also a possible way for constraints to be placed upon ongoing conflicts, at least temporarily.

The ongoing stellium of planets in Aries also consist of Saturn, Neptune, Eris and Chiron for all of this year (except for a 3 month window when Chiron is in Ta**us).

During this week, we experience Mercury's direct motion speeding up after a slow few days during its post-retrograde period. We are also still in Mercury's "retrograde shadow" through April 8th. This means that the unresolved activities during the Mercury Retrograde period will cotinue to be addressed, but there may be resolution of some of it by April 8.

In addition, all major planets are direct and will continue to be so until May 6, 2026, when Pluto stations retrograde. This adds more momentum to getting things done and accelerating the processes of what has been started.

The sign of Aries itself is arguably the most agressive and close to the most willful as well. Action and instinct highlight this sign and it closely resonates (and traditionally ruled by) the planet Mars. Typically, Aries will do whatever it takes to accomplish its mission/purpose. This includes a superpower for Aries of sorts to overcome any and all obstacles that stand in the way.

If Aries is directed to forge ahead with peace, for example, it will find a way to accomplish or simply exhaust all options until it either does of moves on to another mission it can fulfill.

But this week, Mercury and Mars are still in the sign of Pisces, so there is a sense of hope that there will be more compassion and empathy involved in the world to help balance out Aries.

Sun-Neptune Conjunction on March 22, 2026
The Sun, having recently ingressed into the sign of Aries, is going to conjunct Neptune on March 22, 2026 at 01° 50’ Aries.

When the Sun conjuncts a planet, it is merging with the energy of the Sun, potentially generating a moment of potency for the combined alchemy of the Sun and that planet. Some astrologers define this as a beneficial impact while others not so much. From a shamanic perspective, this conjunction (of the Sun and Neptune) is both in the "underworld" / Source for Neptune AND a place where the sign that Neptune is in (Aries) is being magnified.

This is also the center of the transit of Neptune in direct motion since Neptune went direct back on December 10, 2025. In addition, since Neptune and Saturn are still less than 3 degrees apart, this conjunction also is activating humanity's themes supported by Saturn and Neptune when they are strongly aspected together.

This means, we are in an elevated period of Saturn and Neptune's conjunction window (which goes on until early 2027). But with the focus upon Neptune/Sun energy, it is more about our beliefs and sacrifices and how much we have invested our hearts into it. What are we not letting go that no longer serves us? Are we holding on to something too tightly that is also squashing our chances at liberating our spirit? Especially for Aries, are we needing "to win" at any cost?

Neptune can free us. In this Sun-Neptune conjunction, we can also ask about, what needs to be burned away or flushed out in a way that detoxifies and opens possibilities for greater spiritual awareness?

The Sun will go on to conjunct Saturn on March 25 in Aries, then Venus conjuncts both Eris and Chiron in Aries on March 26.
