💚Happy St. Patrick's Day!💚

🌈Here at Heritage Hall we celebrated today with some fun on the 🎰 slot machines, winners got to go to the prize table and pick something out.

Our amazing beautician made sure everyone was feeling the festivities with the green through their hair.🍀

Then we moved on to what everyone was most excited for .... the soup cook off!! 🍲 We had 10 entries all amazing, but of course we have the top winners....

🍲We had a 1st place tie...

🏆1st place Soup: Robin Jones made a Chicken noodle soup

🏆1st place Soup: Nina Blansett made a Beef Stew

🏆2nd place Soup: Kimberly Howard made a Gumbo

Thank you to our residents judges Jack and Hazel, and our non resident judges Theodore and Brian!

Everyone did such an amazing job on their soups it was definitely hard to pick the best! Thank you to all the staff who helped make this event happen. It means so much to our residents! 💚💚💚

Activity: Decorating

Story: Every month the therapy department let's the residents redecorate the tree in the gym. Here you can see Ms. Kathy taking down all the Valentine's decorations to put up our St. Patrick's day decorations. Getting to help the staff with something that everyone gets to see is always meaningful! We love getting to see the residents proud of their work they put in.

It has come to our attention there is a post on facebook saying there has been a fire at our facility. This is incorrect there was no fire at our building. Everyone is safe and sound.

Today is National Cargiver Appreciation Day! We just wanted to say how much we love our staff here at Heritage Hall! Thank you for everything you guys do being a caregiver is no easy task, but each resident's day starts and ends with a smile and thats all thanks to you!

Activity: Indoor Picinic

Story: Our beloved Julia hadn't been doing too well, so our amazing DON Joesie and ADON Robin decided she needed a pick me up. They found out how much she enjoyed picinics, and country music so they knew where they needed to start there. They then picked her up her favorite meal chicken from KFC! The weather didn't permit an outside picinic but they made due.
The dedication to making a specialized moment for our residents is always meaningful but when you can see someone who needs a hand to lift their spirits, those are the really special moments.

We had such an amazing valentines Day thank you to all the staff who helped create this love filled day!

From rootbeer floats at bingo to cupid arrow toss, and everybody's favorite Ms. Horner son came with his band to play us a little music!

Activity: Puzzle Club

Story: One day Jack decied to help Hazel put together a puzzle and slowly he began helping with more and more. Soon they were flying through putting puzzles together and just like the puzzles they build, they built a friendship. You can surely find them sitting together every day to do puzzles and eat lunch. Life isn't always about what your doing, but the people you do it with!

Yesterday we got to celebrate with a very special pupper!

It was our therapy dog Elmo's first birthday!!! It was so cute getting to see him get all his new toys and treats!
To complete the party the residents adopted new stuffed puppies! Then we went to the table and made the stuff puppies collars from pipe cleaners and beads!
We had so much fun thank you to Paige and Elmo for all they do for our residents your visits mean so much to everyone!!!
