The CRC is a private, not-for-profit corporation that provides programs for the prevention, intervention and treatment of mental health and substance use.

Community Resource Center (CRC) is a private, not-for-profit corporation serving residents of Marion, Clinton and Fayette Counties. It is governed by a nine member board of directors. Funding for services is provided in part by the Department of Human Services Divisions of Alcoholism & Substance Abuse, Community Health and Prevention and Mental Health. CRC provides programs for the prevention, intervention and treatment of mental health problems and substance abuse disorders. Educational programs, advocacy, support groups, outreach and transitional living are also available. All information regarding agency clients is confidential and cannot be shared with any other agency or individual without the client's written authorization, except in specific situations such as an emergency.

This Tuesday, January 27th, the Salem branch office will be closed. All appointments scheduled in the Salem office on Tuesday will be virtual (by phone or telehealth).

All other offices (Centralia, Carlyle, and Vandalia) will be open for regular business hours.

Upcoming Holiday Hours

CRC Offices will be closed Wednesday, Dec 24th thru Sunday, Dec 28th. We will be back in the office for regular business hours on Monday, Dec 29th and Tuesday, Dec 30th.

CRC Offices will be closed Wednesday, Dec 31st and Thursday, January 1st. We will resume regular business hours on Friday, January 2nd.

Our crisis line is ALWAYS open. If you are in crisis, please call our crisis line at 618-533-1391 or dial 988 to connect with trained crisis staff. You are not alone.

Meet the faces behind our new partnership with New Life Midwest PLLC!

Jacob Scheer, a physician specializing in internal medicine, recognizing the need for substance use treatment, completed a fellowship in addiction medicine at St. Louis University. His wife, Brandy Scheer, a Nurse Practitioner certified in family medicine, shifted her focus to addiction medicine after her brother's overdose in 2016. She has worked as a hospitalist and earned an MBA and MHA from the University of Phoenix in 2023.
