We have had a wonderful start to the month of December ! Our activity calendar is so full of fun activities and events that everyone looks forward to and enjoys so much !

I must say a big thank you to the volunteers who have so graciously been giving of their time and talents to help the residents enjoy each day !

Here are just a few of the activities and events we have had over the last couple weeks. I didn’t post everything. But I do want to show some of the people who have come and performed live music , and also those who are coming in to do crafts.
We appreciate all of our volunteers !
We also have numerous other volunteers who are coming as well such as spa day . Bible studies , Sunday School and of course bingo.

Here are just a few of the activities from the last couple weeks.

Happy Birthday to residents with birthdays in Nov. This cute cake was provided by Cherokee Home Health and Sherri’s Bakery. We appreciate you all.

Residents also enjoyed some friendly competition playing the ladder toss game. Fun for all!

These sweet dogs. Everyone loves seeing pets when they visit us .

Thank you to all veterans for your service and sacrifice.
We honored our veterans/ veteran spouses at Cherokee Village , along with some very special guests . Members of the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Margaret Steincamp , Regent , Sherron Davis , Vice-Regent , and Sherry Nickles, Registrar, participated in holding a program and recognition of veterans spouses and veterans. Complete with special treat bags and cards.
Thank you ladies for making the day more special . And for the patriotic song on harmonica , by Jerry Frye.

Lea, who recently came to sing for us !
Sandy sang some of the favorite gospel hymns . Such as I’ll Fly Away.
And some other favorites.

Complete with our own Minnie Mouse look a like , along with a black cat ! And Halloween Bingo ! With more treats , no tricks !

Kayla Gossett, CV dietary employee , organized a fun activity for residents today. She chose a fall craft for she and co worker Theresa Miller to do with the residents. Here are a few of the ladies who enjoyed making the pumpkins crafts.

Was a nice week , with the residents doing different activities , including
An activity with two of our state ombudsman, Tamara Wood , and Melinda Mitchell. They led residents in prize bingo.

And another game they always enjoy, ring toss.

Also pictured is Kelly Helms, who does spa day with residents twice a month.

It was a great week recognizing National Assisted Living Week.
But we wrapped up the celebration with Willie Nelson (Jamie Tallent , lol. ). Jamie is with Cherokee Home Health , and he was the entertainment for Friday ! Thanks so much for the good time for all!

Many thanks always to Freddy and Sue Reynolds for the weekly Bible study/devotion . Everyone looks forward to it.

And we also had our monthly birthday blowout and had 3 birthdays to celebrate for September!
Thanks to Cherokee Home Health and Sherry’s Bakery for the beautiful cake !
