Arthritis causes a reduction of range of motion within a given joint, unless it’s an erosive type that destroys the bone. Loss of range of motion primarily just makes us (or our joints) stiff The PAIN from arthritis is actually due to INFLAMMATION.
That’s why it’s tempting and easy to grab some over-the-counter non-steroidal anti inflammatory drugs (NSAID). However, their side effects can be horrendous and the meds are often non-effective!!!
The BEST way to reduce inflammation and therefore lessen, if not eliminate, pain associated with arthritis is through your FOOD INTAKE!! You ARE what you EAT. High acid foods are some of the worst inflammatory foods. Choose a more alkaline food diet, plant based as much as possible, and be aware of the sugars that you are drinking and your pain will decrease dramatically.
