💙Mental Health Myth💙

Mental health symptoms don’t always appear suddenly. Many develop gradually as stress accumulates and coping systems become overwhelmed. Subtle changes in sleep, mood, or patience are often early signs. Addressing concerns early can prevent worsening symptoms.

If something feels off, and you want support, call our office at (256) 266-1544 to schedule an appointment with our mental health therapist, Mary Frances.

Did you know there is a blood shortage right now?

March is American Red Cross Month, and blood donations are critical for accident victims, surgeries, medical treatments, and emergencies. One donation can help save multiple lives.

If you are able, please consider scheduling an appointment to donate through the American Red Cross.

We appreciate the citizens who step up to serve others. Consider giving blood and making a difference today. 🩸

Today is HPV Awareness Day--and here's what you need to know: HPV causes over 90% of cervical cancers, but there's a vaccine that can prevent it.

The HPV vaccine is safe, effective, and recommended for boys and girls ages 9-26. The earlier, the better; children vaccinated at ages 9-12 build a stronger immune response with just 2 doses.

No insurance? No problem. Children aged 9-18 who have no insurance, are under-insured, have medicaid, or identify as American or Alaskan Native are eligible for free HPV vaccines through VFC.

Protect the next generation. Talk to your doctor today.

Colorectal cancer is highly treatable when detected early, and SCREENING SAVES LIVES.

Current guidelines recommend beginning screening at age 45 for average-risk adults.

If your results are normal:
Follow-up screening may be recommended every 3, 5, or 10 years, depending on the type of test used.

If a polyp is found:
Repeat screening is typically recommended every 1, 3, or 5 years, based on the number and type of polyps identified.

Screening options include:
• Cologuard® (stool DNA test)
• FIT test (f***l immunochemical test)
• Colonoscopy

The right screening strategy depends on your personal and family medical history. Speak with your healthcare provider to determine what is most appropriate for you.

Early detection makes all the difference. Don’t delay screening.
