We are incredibly lucky to have Lorrie leading the Barnette Center with compassion, dedication, and heart. Her steady leadership helps ensure every patient and family receives care rooted in dignity, comfort, and respect.

The Barnette Center is our 10-bed inpatient facility, now featuring brand-new beds designed to enhance comfort and support for our patients and their loved ones.

Compass was grateful to participate in the Ridgely and Centreville parades, host our Hope for the Holiday grief workshop, and welcome families to our annual Candlelight Remembrance. Each event served as a reminder that even in grief, we are never alone.

✨ Big news at the Barnette Hospice Center!

Thanks to a $30,000 grant from the Rural Maryland Council and a generous matching donor, we’ve been able to purchase new, fully adjustable beds to enhance comfort, safety, and dignity for our patients and families.

These upgrades support both quality care and our incredible caregiving team. We’re deeply grateful for the community support that makes moments like this possible.
