We announce the passing of Ms. Thaylee Smith, affectionately known as “Skeeter,” of Chadbourn, passed away on Saturday, December 13, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Whiteville.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced at a later time.

Funeral Service Announcement for Mrs. Earlean Gotay

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of D&A Funeral Services, 212 South Wilkes Street, Chadbourn.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Zion Wall Freewill Baptist Church, 413 West Institute Street, Chadbourn. A public viewing will take place at the church before and after the service.

Burial will be held at Belvue Cemetery, 1055 Clarendon Chadbourn Rd, Chadbourn.
