💛🍂 SO GRATEFUL!!! 🍂💛
There are SO MANY THINGS to be grateful for, even the challenges in life. I know my family is not the only one to have had their share of heartache this year. I'm sitting at my mom's today just wanting to send well wishes to all of you who have been such a profound blessing to us; my mom, myself, my siblings, and by default the rest of "us". We are so grateful for each one of you and I pray that God blesses your heart with peace and joy today.

❤️‍🩹 For those struggling right now... I know things can be rough... remember that practicing gratitude is a conscious shift made to our mindset that positively alters the neurochemistry within us (happy hormones and such) and helps us to overcome those heavy, negative thoughts. If you need to talk, I'm here for you and happy to do what I can to help make your day better!

An interesting little glimpse into history, just for your amusement ☺️💛

A "very fine" view of Chadron, Nebraska in November 1886.

According to The Chadron Democrat issue November 18, 1886, "Mr. Busse, the photographer," had taken "some very fine views of Chadron from the top of the artesian well derrick."

This could very well be one of Busse's images.

My heart couldn't be more full. I have been thanking God for all the beautiful memories and all the sweet, sweet sentiments left with us yesterday in remembrance of our mom's life. With the deepest gratitude to those who came to the service to pour out your love for her, and to all those who couldn't be there in person but were there in heart, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart! 💐
If we don't meet again in this life, we will be looking forward to the reunion in heaven.

✨ NEW UPDATE!! ✨
It's hard to fathom that the one person who started the love of this career in our family is not here to advocate for Massage Therapy Awareness Week this year. But we know Jerri would want you all to continue to taking good care of yourselves, with or without her! 👐🏻🧡🍂💆🏽‍♀️ So I'm here to remind you to continue practicing your self care 24x7x375 days-a-year.

I'm also here to give you an update about my decision to continue practicing massage therapy. The good news is, yes I will. It's absolutely in my blood , and I miss it terribly. But, things are going to look a little different for me professionally. After lots of prayer and considerable amounts of deliberation, I have decided to also pursue my art career that has been on the back burner for the last 20+ years 🎨👩🏼‍🎨🖼️. God has given me a gift and I have largely ignored it since I graduated from college with my fine art degree. It's time for me to branch out in that direction too, if not for fame and fortune (🤣❣️), at least for my own healing journey ❤️‍🩹🕊️.

As for my massage career, I am setting up an office in my home 🏡 outside of Chadron for starters (home business insurance coverage is available here, but not there). I will not be taking new clients (old-timers, I'm still here for you, it just means a little longer commute 🛻, if you want to). I have heard a rumor 🐦 that there may be an office room in Chadron available for me, but I'm uncertain whether the host will be willing to accept me as a less than part time renter. I am not pursuing that option at all until I am done settling our family affairs, but there is a possibility 🤞🏼🙏🏼 (keep praying about it for me, pretty please)!

As far as timing, I am aiming for the first of next year to start up here at home, if not sooner 🛠️🫟📝. I will continue to keep you posted. Hello again everyone, I know that many of you are still waiting to hear an update from Jerri and I. Circumstances being what they are time has gotten away from me so I apologize. I have decided at present not to pursue an alternate work location so I can focus on family for now. I do hope to start up again in the future, but cannot tell when that might be just yet. Jerri is still working hard to regain her health, though it is a harder battle for her than any of us though it would be. We appreciate the continued prayers and well wishes from all of you, the suggestions, gifts, and referrals. All are greatly appreciated. If any of you happen to have recommendations for alternate health practitioners in the field of oncology and immune support in northern Colorado, western South Dakota, or western Kansas, we'd love to hear from you about them (reminders at this point are also appreciated as our minds were a little muddy in the beginning of all of this).

🌄 EVERY MOUNTAIN HAS MEANING 🧗🏼‍♀️
Sometimes in life we come to very hard decisions; not every path we face is promised to be easy. "In our darkest moments, we must focus to see the light." For those who haven't heard, the past eight months have been fraught with especially difficult health challenges that we as a family never EVER thought we'd have to face, especially having been long time wellness advocates and educators. Life doesn't always play fair though, and many ailments one may encounter as they get older are fierce and non-discriminatory. In spite of the battle, remember that every "mountain” you face has meaning, and it's in digging for the priceless treasures buried deep in every struggle that one will find life's richest and most amazing eternal blessings. 🕊️

After 32 years of service through The Great Escape in Chadron, I am exploring a new chapter in my own life, and by default "The Great Escape" is officially having to close it's doors (at least in the interim 🙏🏼). I have loved every moment of working with every one of you. Thank you for trusting me with your own pain and health challenges. God smiled on me when He brought me here to provide to this region, and there is nothing that has made me happier than providing our Midwest-Nebraska communities with the beautiful God-given gift of nurturing, therapeutic touch. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you in a professional sense, and for those who have been with us the longest, for your friendship! You are priceless!! 💖

What does this mean for you?

Well, Heather is hopeful to maintain a space to provide wellness services in the area, but is in an unexpected battle with insurance for coverage to work out of our old building, and it's not looking like a promising prospect at the moment -- home based businesses are under siege apparently, and this just came to our attention with less than one week's notice. She will be keeping the public informed of her progress in reopening under her own business name in a different location, she just isn't 100% sure where that might be at the moment.
