Jesica Blanchard isnβt just baking bread on Saturdays β sheβs crafting something special.
An avid sourdough baker, Jesica spends her weekends creating everything from rustic loaves to scones, focaccia and cupcakes. Itβs a passion that reflects her approach to life and leadership: patient, hands-on and built with care.
Now, sheβs bringing that same energy to her new role as Director of Nursing at Crest View Care Center β and we couldnβt be more excited to have her.
Originally from Hagerman, New Mexico, Jesica now calls Hot Springs home. Sheβs built an impressive career in health care, starting as a CNA and medical assistant before becoming an RN and stepping into leadership roles. She previously served as Director of Nursing in both New Mexico and Montana and most recently worked as a charge nurse in South Dakota.
Jesica brings critical expertise in wound care and infection control β skills that directly support the safety, healing and comfort of Crest View residents. Just as important, she brings a steady, thoughtful presence that was clear from the moment she walked through the doors.
βIt felt like home,β Jesica said of her first visit. βCalm, clean and caring.β
Since joining the team, sheβs been inspired by the staff who continue to show up with dedication and positivity. Her focus moving forward is simple but meaningful: maintain a safe, clean and happy environment for residents and staff while strengthening teamwork, organization and ongoing education.
At the heart of it all is a belief in people.
βWe work as a team. We are here for the residents and we help each other,β she said.
Jesica is also a proud mom of three, with family spread from Montana to San Antonio to Spearfish, where her youngest attends Black Hills State University.
Whether sheβs kneading dough in her kitchen or helping guide a team at Crest View, Jesica brings intention, experience and heart to everything she does β and thatβs exactly why weβre so glad sheβs here.
