We’re halfway through the month of March and that means counting down the days until our final numbers are counted for the Coach Donovan. It’s been a busy past month and we couldn’t be more proud of our patients for showing up to help us rally together! ❤️ There’s still 2 weeks left which means there’s still time to stop on in and see us.

Anyone want to guess how many frames we’ve sold up to this point?? We’ll give you a hint… it’s in the triple digits🤩🥳

March is Save Your Vision Month and one of the most rapidly increasing concerns from eyecare professionals is the growth of Myopia.

What is Myopia? Often known as nearsightedness, myopia is when the eyeball grows too long or the cornea is too curved. When this happens, it causes the light to focus differently for the retina.

Over the next few weeks, we’re going to focus on a few ways to help slow the progression of myopia and steps we can take with our patients to slow the progression.

First up: The Stellest Lens!

Statistics have shown that in comparison to a standard single vision lens, the Stellest lenses have proved to slow down the progression of myopia in an average of 71% of wearers. The Stellest lenses use a unique, custom to each person, set of measurements to create a zone in which it ensures sharp vision for the wearer while also slowing the progression of myopia.

It was such a pleasure to have Laura and her sidekick in to help us spruce things up a bit! We simply stated our wants and goals and they did more than show up. Knocking it out of the park would be a total understatement.

Thank you, thank you ❤️🎉

We’re officially one week into our efforts, and the amount of frames being sold has been so awesome to see. Didn’t make it in yet? No worries, we’re continuing this through the month of March as well!

Recently, Coach Donovan had been diagnosed with a Grade 4 Glioblastoma Brain Tumor, but being built as strong as he is, he’s back in the classroom and on the mat for our fellow Cubs. Not only is John a teacher and coach, but a veteran, volunteer firefighter, and friend to all as well.

To help support Coach and his family, we’re looking to relieve the financial burden that can persist with such difficult situations. With your help, we are going to spend the next few weeks pooling together funds to help offset the costs of travel, doctor visits, and needed time off for such a battle. For every frame sold, we are going to donate $10 to the Donovan Family. Of course, prayers and continued support for the family are just as powerful if not more.

We encourage you to share to help us get the word out so that we may rally together to support this tremendously special family❤️

💥🥁 Drumroll Please 🥁💥

As promised, Karen made another star appearance! What a wonderful and spicy way to start the week 🥳 On today’s episode, we found out just what the big announcement was! Of course, more details will be revealed later this week, but we couldn’t leave Karen in suspense any further.

From now until March 31st, we will be donating $10 of each frame sale to the family of Coach John Donovan to help offset medical expenses and the time needed away from work for doctors appointments and follow ups.

Stop on in, take a look around, and know you’re supporting a great cause and an even more astonishing family and inspirational man 👏🏼❤️

Friday welcomed in an unexpected visitor at the office today and man oh man were the girls in for a treat… or were they??

Happy Valentines Day to each and every one of you. Here’s to spreading the love, enjoying the gifts and affection, and of course, NOT being a Karen! 🤣❤️

⭐️ Employee Spotlight ⭐️

You might know her as the scheduling guru or the contact lens expert, but we tend to refer to her as the rambunctious one making all the ruckus at the front desk. In recent years, she’s the one with the chair sliding around the office, down the street, or wherever the wheels take her. All jokes aside, you can count on Ashley to help you whether you call the office or walk in the door. If she can’t, she’ll steer you in the direction of a specialist who can. From scheduling to contact lenses, rebates to hospitality, Ashley’s got you covered. She can remember anybody’s face or voice, rebates insights, contact lens order, insurance details, and so much more. You’d be surprised!

Let’s give a round of applause for our Patient Communication Coordinator, Ashley! 🥳

Ever wonder why your order seems to be taking longer than others or might exceed the estimated two week window we anticipate to see the order back in?

We never want to let you leave the office with a product you might be dissatisfied with. This means we take every additional measure to make sure it’s perfect for our patients!

By checking the alignment, prescription, coatings, and lenses, we make sure it’s free of blemishes before notifying for pick up. Any errors or flaws we catch throughout the inspection process are sent back to the lab so that they may be in tip-top shape when you come in to pick up your new prescription!

✨ Testimonial Tuesday ✨

After a season of giving and thanks, we’re kicking off with something great in 2026! With a new year comes new possibilities, change, challenges, and room for new growth. Nothing speaks the volumes than that of the words from our patients. We’d like to periodically take a moment to highlight these words and use this as motivation, increasing the momentum to push us through another great year! 🙌🏼

⁉️ Did You Know ⁉️

Your eyes may become watery or dry from cold air and indoor heat, causing irritation and blurry vision. This may create episodes of dryness and excess watering to compensate for the loss of moisture in your eyes!

Cold, dry air makes eyes water excessively as a defense against dryness, producing watery, and not moisturizing tears. Central heat also dries the air, increasing tear evaporation and potentially causing stinging, itching, gritty, and watery sensations.

As we jump into the new year, we’ve been evaluating and brainstorming how we want to push ourselves to be the best version we can be for YOU!

A special moment that resonates as we venture into 2026, comes from one of the speakers from our trip to the Exchange last year.

A thought could be a good dream, but be a bad plan.

A good plan turns results into actions.
- Build a goal ladder
- Brainstorm actions
- Make the actions more specific
- Do them

If it's working, go back to doing it.

If it's not working, go back to planning and try something else.

If it's the wrong goal, go back to the dreaming stage.

What are your goals for the year? What pushes you most? Drop your answers and join us for another amazing year 🥳❤️

As we round out 2025, we’d just like to remind our patients and the community that we will be closed for the afternoon on December 31st, and all day on January 1st! Don’t worry though, we’ll be back and better than ever on Friday! 👏🏼👏🏼

It's been an amazing year, and we couldn't have done it without YOU! Thanks for being part of our journey, each and every day. Your trust and loyalty in us is truly unmatched. We look forward to another year of great things together! Happy New Year to all, and we look forward to SEEing you in the New Year! 🥂🎉
