After a season of giving and thanks, we’re kicking off with something great in 2026! With a new year comes new possibilities, change, challenges, and room for new growth. Nothing speaks the volumes than that of the words from our patients. We’d like to periodically take a moment to highlight these words and use this as motivation, increasing the momentum to push us through another great year! 🙌🏼

⁉️ Did You Know ⁉️

Your eyes may become watery or dry from cold air and indoor heat, causing irritation and blurry vision. This may create episodes of dryness and excess watering to compensate for the loss of moisture in your eyes!

Cold, dry air makes eyes water excessively as a defense against dryness, producing watery, and not moisturizing tears. Central heat also dries the air, increasing tear evaporation and potentially causing stinging, itching, gritty, and watery sensations.

A special moment that resonates as we venture into 2026, comes from one of the speakers from our trip to the Exchange last year.

A thought could be a good dream, but be a bad plan.

A good plan turns results into actions.
- Build a goal ladder
- Brainstorm actions
- Make the actions more specific
- Do them

If it's working, go back to doing it.

If it's not working, go back to planning and try something else.

If it's the wrong goal, go back to the dreaming stage.

As we round out 2025, we’d just like to remind our patients and the community that we will be closed for the afternoon on December 31st, and all day on January 1st! Don’t worry though, we’ll be back and better than ever on Friday! 👏🏼👏🏼

It's been an amazing year, and we couldn't have done it without YOU! Thanks for being part of our journey, each and every day. Your trust and loyalty in us is truly unmatched. We look forward to another year of great things together! Happy New Year to all, and we look forward to SEEing you in the New Year! 🥂🎉

Wishing each and every one of you a joy filled Christmas. May the memories flow, the bellies be full, and your hearts be even fuller. It’s not what’s under the Christmas tree that matters, it’s who’s around it! 🎄

We will be closed Wednesday, December 24th through Friday, December 26th so that Dr. Permann and the staff may travel safely to spend the time with their families as well. A wonderful Christmas to all ❤️

Despite the curveballs Mother Nature is throwing at us this week, we’re still in awe over our beautiful porch pots done by the Picket Fence 👏🏼👏🏼

During this season of giving we not only want to give a shoutout to Chelsea for brightening up the front of our office, but to each of our fabulous patients as well.

We will be closed for the afternoon on Friday, December 12th so that our staff can enjoy an evening of togetherness and reminisce on the year we’ve had ❤️

During this season of thanks, we’d like to extend a proper thank you to each and every one of our patients! We’re so happy to have you along for the ride and thank you for the joyful smiles you spread upon entering our office as well.

👁️ November is Diabetes Awareness Month! 👁️

We always want to be sure to express the importance of attending your annual eye exam to everyone, but especially to those with diabetes. Diabetic Retinopathy is a condition that may occur to those with diabetes, causing damage to the retina.

The tiny blood vessels within the retina leak blood and other fluids, causing the retinal tissue to swell. This ultimately creates cloudy or blurred vision to the patient. Left untreated, and blindness can be an unfortunate result. Early detection and treatment help us to limit the potential for significant vision loss and to keep our patients seeing the best we can!
