🚑 Exciting Update for Our AEMT Program!

We’ve had incredible interest in our AEMT class — thank you to everyone who reached out! ❤️ We also know that for many of you, travel distance and busy schedules made it tough to commit to our fully in-person format.

So, we’re making some changes to help more future AEMTs across South Dakota get the training they need:

📅 Start Date: December 3rd, 2025
💻 Lecture & Homework: Online with required milestones to keep you on track — plus virtual study sessions once or twice a week with instructors.
🧪 Lab Sessions: Wednesday & Thursday evenings (1800–2200) and one Saturday per month. Students need 60 total lab hours, but attendance at every session isn’t required — complete your hours at your own pace!
🚑 Clinical Internship: 72 total hours (six 12-hour shifts) with full skills verification, including IVs and other AEMT competencies.

This flexible hybrid format keeps the same high-quality hands-on learning while making it easier for students from all over to participate.

We can’t wait to welcome our next group of AEMT students this winter! 🔥

Just finished watching the EMS special on SDPB and wow—what a powerful reminder of the incredible work EMTs, AEMTs, and Paramedics do every single day across South Dakota. 🚑💙

The program really shed light on the financial hardships many EMS services face, along with the challenge of hiring and keeping staff in our rural communities. These are real issues that directly impact response times, patient care, and the future of EMS across the state.

It’s not just about flashing lights and quick transports—it’s about dedicated professionals who sacrifice time, energy, and even personal comfort to make sure help arrives when it’s needed most. It also highlights the urgent need to support EMS so they can keep answering the call.

At Smoke Signal Solutions, we’re proud to be part of that mission by holding classes and training new EMTs right here in rural central South Dakota. Helping the next generation of EMS providers grow their skills is one way we can strengthen our communities.
