Today is Giving Tuesday—a day created to encourage people to do good. For many, hospice care brings peace, comfort, and the chance to create meaningful memories when time is limited. For Deborah Johnson, a Hospice of Washington County patient, it also meant reliving a cherished part of her past—the Great Frederick Fair. With the support of her care team and her devoted sister, Linda Reed, Deborah’s hospice journey has been filled with compassion, dignity, and one unforgettable wish fulfilled.

National Philanthropy Day is celebrated annually on November 15. This day signifies the importance of working together for the common good. Philanthropic deeds come in all different shapes and sizes — charitable giving, volunteering, etc. — and on National Philanthropy Day, no act of kindness goes unnoticed.
