Dear friends and patients,
I am happy to announce that beginning next Tuesday, June 2nd Chambersburg Acupuncture will resume normal business hours.
In order to ensure adequate screening prior to an appointment and proper disinfection afterwards, return patients will be scheduled at an interval of an hour and a half.
You will notice some changes to the process. These are for your safety, my safety, and the safety of the next person.
Everyone will be required to wear a mask. I will be wearing a mask. If you’re not sure you can tolerate a mask then you should reschedule your appointment.
You will be asked to call the office when you arrive in the parking lot. I will ask you a series of questions (i.e. Do you have a fever? Cough? Shortness of breath? Unusual fatigue? Feeling unwell? Have you recently been around anyone who has been experiencing symptoms or who has tested positive? Within the last two weeks have you traveled to any known hotspots?
If you answer yes to any of these questions I will ask you to reschedule.
For the time being the 24 hour cancellation policy is waived.
After the screening questions, I will come to your car and take your temperature. I will have you sign an Informed Consent Form.
You will then be allowed into the office where you will be required to immediately go to the bathroom and wash your hands.
We can then begin your treatment.
Treatment rooms will be alternated between each patient to allow for proper disinfection.
Units with HEPA filtration and UV-C sanitation will be present in each room.
I care for your health and safety and will do everything in my power to provide a safe, healthy, and worry free environment.
Undoubtedly, some will think this an overkill. I ask for patience and cooperation. This isn’t an ideal situation for any of us. This about protecting the circle of life. I do have a significant number of immune-compromised and high risk patients. I have the moral, ethical, personal, and professional responsibility to keep all who enter my doors safe.
Thank you all for your patience. I’m looking forward to seeing you!
