While this might feel frustrating at first, the truth is that this fact is liberating and worth celebrating! Why and how?
Ultimately, it is impossible to remove intrusive thoughts. We don’t have any control over what thoughts come and go.
However, we do have control over how we cope with intrusive thoughts! Hence, relief from OCD comes from realizing that you can develop the skills and strategies to accept and cope with intrusive thoughts! And that is worth celebrating!
