September 25, 2000. Exactly 25 years ago today, my journey as a Massage Therapist began. I was 22 years old and the world was my oyster in beautiful Durango, Colorado. Since that time, Iāve been fortunate to flex my abilities at various types of establishments: a spa, a salon, a sports club, a chiropractic clinic, and a PT/rehab clinic.
However, for more than 20 of those years, nothing has compared to being my own boss and practicing privately in my sacred space(s) as a professional. Some of you even invite me to work in your homes. I am so LUCKY and GRATEFUL to have acquired many wonderful clients along the way, most of whom I consider friends or family. They trust me and my abilities not only with their bodies, but also their hearts. Some of these loyal clients and I have been alongside each other for 5, 10, 15 years or more! We have been through so much life together in that time! Wedding celebrations, baby celebrations, career changes/new jobs, college, survival, falling apart, retirement, healing journies, loss in various forms, health issues, traumas, you name it.
25 years amounts to a LOT of beautiful bodies! From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for taking a chance on me and the touch of my hands (and elbows!). It has been such a pleasure. Hereās to more years and to strong, healthy hands šš¼
