DSC provides adult services and support include training in areas such as independent living skills, vocational development, residential options, social skills, recreational opportunities, transportation and community access. Services and support for children include speech therapy, physical therapy, daycare consultations, weekly play groups, a Family Resource Center and mental health services.

Individuals with disabilities and family members are invited to join an upcoming Listening Session hosted by The Arc of Illinois. This is a chance to share your experiences, hear from coalition members, and help shape the future of disability services in our state.

We loved a recent visit to Unity West School, where Chloe shared The Magic Nesting Doll by Jacqueline K. Ogburn, beautifully illustrated by Laurel Long. Dressed in the traditional Slavic attire representing her heritage, Chloe displayed her collection of nesting dolls and brought the story to life by explaining its meaning so everyone could fully enjoy it.
