At DSC, we had the privilege of knowing Noah—and today, we’re proud to support Team Noah: Walk, Run & Roll, part of the Christie Clinic Illinois Race Weekend. Created in Noah’s honor, this event invites individuals with disabilities to walk, run, or roll across the finish line and experience the excitement of race weekend, just as Noah did year after year.

Team Noah offers participants the choice of a 1-mile or 5K option, and registration is free for individuals with disabilities and their support person, thanks to Noah’s family. Learn more or register here: https://illinoismarathon.com/races/5k/team-noah/

Yesterday, advocates met the community at Salt & Light in Urbana to celebrate Spread the Word Day! 💛 We shared resources about how language matters, handed out orange ribbons, and invited folks to take a simple but powerful step: pledge to include.

The Champaign Park District's Youth and Teen Program Coordinator recently participated in our virtual LEAP training! We’re looking forward to providing a Frontline Staff training for her team later this spring.

Leaders in Employing all People (LEAP) is a collaboration between DSC and Community Choices. This free one-hour presentation highlights the benefits of disability-inclusive employment and how inclusive workplaces strengthen businesses and communities.

We had an incredible time at UI-CON — diving into vendor tables, joining discussion rooms, hanging out in the reading room, and showing off some amazing cosplay!

UI-CON brings together anime, comics, gaming, artists, and fan culture from across Central Illinois, and we were so excited to be part of it. Already looking forward to next year!

We had a blast at Night to Shine! It's a prom-style celebration created by the Tim Tebow Foundation to honor and celebrate individuals with special needs. Guests walked the red carpet, danced the night away, and some even showed up in a party bus! Everyone deserves a night where they truly shine.!💖

We had a blast visiting Kyle's Corner! Our cooking group saw a commercial kitchen and had the opportunity to ask questions and even try a sweet treat! Thank you for the warm welcome!

We enjoyed our pre-opening field trip today from The Developmental Services Center's adult cooking group.

Bet you can't guess what "silly" word we all shouted instead of "cheese"!
