🌟Staff Spotlight🌟

Meet Josea, one of our Activity Assistants at Carriage Crossing!

Josea has been with Carriage Crossing for 8 months now! Our Activity Assistants play a special role in creating meaningful moments for our residents each day. From leading games, crafts, and exercise to offering one-on-one companionship, they help make every day engaging and fun!

Josea chose to work in assisted living because she has "always loved helping people." Josea also shared that she cared for her great-grandmother who had dementia and that it influenced her choice to work in assisted living.

Throughout her time here, Josea says that one of the most meaningful moments she has experienced was Gladys' 100th Birthday Party! She says that it was rewarding to see Gladys and her family so happy!

When asked what advice she would give to families who are navigating care decisions, Josea shares:

"Advocate for your family member and be there for them."

Josea believes that the most important part of her job are the residents, and Josea goes above and beyond to show it every day.

Just wanted to give a huge shoutout to Everything But the Kitchen Sync Band for rocking out at our happy hour today! 🎶 The mix of banjo, guitar, ukulele, kazoo, drums, and dulcimer brought such great vibes. It was a blast jamming along and enjoying some good company. Can't wait for the next performance! 🌟🥳
