Meet Our Medical Director & Owner — Kurt Bloomstrand

We’re proud to introduce our Medical Director and owner, Dr. Kurt Bloomstrand.

Kurt’s story is truly local.
He was born right here in Champaign, raised in nearby Loda, and completed his entire training at the University of Illinois — undergraduate, medical school, and emergency medicine residency.

After training, he chose to stay and practice as an Emergency Medicine physician in this community, caring for the same neighbors and families he grew up around.

"Opening FirstLine Urgent Care was personal for our family. We’re raising our four children here, which means the people who walk through our doors aren’t just patients — they’re classmates’ parents, teammates, teachers, and friends. The care we provide is the same care we would want for our own kids.”
