We love preconception care. There is so much we can do to make sure you are in the best spot you can before getting pregnant.

Preconception care should be started at least 3 months prior to actively trying to conceive (TTC). This includes:

- Initiating any nutrition/lifestyle changes and incorporating a high quality prenatal vitamin.

- Getting labs drawn to assess for any risk factors for pregnancy (i.e. thyroid, blood sugar, MTHFR, hormone status, iron status, etc.)

- Start ovulation tracking methods to help you understand your individual cycle and when ideal time of the month is to try and get pregnant.

The internet can be overwhelming with information on preconception care. The best thing to do is chat with your integrative doc about what is best for YOU.

PCOS and insulin resistance often go hand-in-hand. Because of that, a lot of my patients tell me that the holidays can be a challenging time when it comes to their nutrition. My goal is always to make sure that we create strategies so that you can enjoy your favorite holiday meals without guilt while minimizing its effect on your PCOS. Some of these strategies include:

When eating foods higher in simple carbohydrates, always pair it with a fat and protein
Taking 10-15 minute walks after large meals in addition to your regular exercise
Enjoy alcohol in moderation
Increase fiber in your other meals
Ensure you are getting enough sleep
Ensure you are exercising at least 3-4x per week

Your PCOS shouldn’t prevent you from living your life, and certainly should never make you feel guilty for enjoying the holiday’s with family.

πŸ‘‹πŸ» Hi, I’m Dr. Molly Santosuosso

it’s been a while since I’ve introduced myself and shared about what I do and why.

After struggling with chronic disease for years, I became disenchanted with conventional medicine. I always wanted *more*, more time with my doctor, more questions answered, more treatment options, and more understanding *why* something was happening and not just what was happening. I found more in naturopathic medicine, and ever since I’ve wanted to be able to share that with others. Now I have that opportunity.

✨I am able to help you understand what you’re experiencing at a root cause level
✨I am able to work with you to develop a treatment plan that meets you where you’re at
✨I am able to give you options, both conventional and naturopathic
✨I am able to spend time with you and answer the questions you have

I love what I do, and I can’t wait to share it with you. 🌿
