We focus on abilities, and inclusion, striving to make the most of each day. This page is dedicated to Makenna and her daily life, living with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). ABOUT MAKENNA:
She is a 10 year old girl who is amazing, bright and beautiful. She loves to read, research and learn about all the places people have traveled to. She has a bucket list started... She loves school- especially math. Makenna loves to ride her bike, play with friends, sleepovers with family and swimming. ABOUT MAMA:
I am her mama and run her page. This page began as a PWS friendly food page. As time has gone on, I realized that there is no “right or wrong” way to eat and feed Makenna. Yea, there is research, but I realize that every family is different. I want to be accepting, inclusive and sensitive to food. I do have a passion for health and fitness that began long before I knew PWS even existed. I love to create and make healthy recipes. Counting calories has been the "norm" for me along with making concoctions in the kitchen. Since having my daughter Makenna in 2010, who received her PWS diagnosis shortly after a NICU stay for 1 month... Life began to take on a meaning, especially in the food department. As a family, we choose to be proactive, we choose to live a healthy example for her. We choose to showcase her abilities and all the amazing things life has given her! DISCLAIMER:
